I don't watch him play often, is he better than Aquilani?
I've seen too many Aquilani's in the past. The one at Roma under Spalletti looked amazing and he started his career with us quite impresive too. Imploded after matchday ~15 and hasn't been the same since. I wouldnt want to spend all that money on him.

All I gotta say is that if they won't buy top players because we won't reach the CL then they can forget about even reaching it in the future since Serie A will now have only 3 spots for it.

We have to make an effort now and be basically forced to dish out the cash especially in wages to bring those top players for next season.

If we continue with 4-5 ok players that won't do. 3-4 big signings are needed PRONTO!

If not, we'll be in deep sh*t like we've been since 06.

The full season figures will be even worse, and would fail UEFA's FFP test if the above was a routine occurrence, which would happen if we signed some of the more popular names in this thread. For that reason, we won't be signing Tevez, Neymar, Sanchez, etc.

Our fans need to face the facts. We don't have enough money to compete for the targets our fans want.

Even if you're not Italian but still love the Azzurri, you have to admit the current class of internationals is a joke compared to previous generations of great footballers.

  • Buffon
  • Van Der Wiel - Bonucci - Chiellini - Cissokho
  • Melo - Marchisio
  • Krasic - Sahin - Neymar
  • Matri
That's one hell of an expensive mercato, but I love it.

Montolivo is crap. Italian players are crap, they drew with new zeland! useless at the world cup. should'nt sign any of them.
Montolivo looked so much better out there than Aquilani today, I rather have him right now than Aqui. As for the World Cup, that was a tournament to forget. Lippi assembled one of the worst Italian squads I have ever seen. He left talent like Balzaretti, Cassano, Balotelli, Matri, Giovinco, etc. at home. He called up vets like Cannavaro. And Buffon was injured very early. We could have done much better, and its evident with our draw to Germany, and wins over Slovenia and the Ukraine. I'm not saying we would have won the WC, definitely not, but we could have advanced much farther than what we did last summer.

That I agree with.

One game doesn't mean shit, guys.

Montolivo isn't a better player than Aquilani.
Both crap, but seriously the current generation of Italian players are pretty shit.

Thats why i hope we do the logical move and sign players who can actually add "quality" to this team. Italian players won't do it for this club right now.

I really think we need a coach before signing any players for the next season.. I know Marotta said som nice thing about his gay-friend DN but I'm sure he wont be here to coach us next season... The fans will protest, I HOPE! Fuck shit if i lived in Turin I would make sure there would be massiv protest outside Agnelli's office EVERY DAY!.

I can't believe our fans in Italy.. Are they dead?
