That's what everybody agreed on when it comes to vdV on the last page. It just seems we're linked with him so we're just discussing him.

I don't see it happening either.

Indeed and even Del Piero can be replaced by someone else.

I'd give Martinez a chance there against the Austrians.

Edit: that was to Lion.

Someone as in Aquilani?
if he is fit and Marchisio can up hid defensive game (and consistency) and they both click it might work.

otherwise i see us needing Sissoko in there depeding on how light weight the mifield might be if Elia and Krasic can't help defend.

yeah Martinez as a striker might actually be a good move instead of him as a winger, potentially it could be brilliant. i just put del piero there because he is still our most influential player and most creative and technical as well despite his age.

With Diego gone we could go 4-3-3.

Aquilani-Felipe Melo-Marchisio
Krasic-Amauri-Martínez

Di Natale could play striker, Pepe is used to playing in that formation with Udinese.
With Aquilani, this 433 is what comes to my mind too.
but you know, our manager is Del Neri... it will be 4411 or 442 or even 424 instead of 433

after selling Diego and Trezeguet we should have enough resource to sign some good SS. I was shocked by their (not confirmed) departure but I think we still have chance to do good in this mercato.

Robinho, Cassano, Aguero, Benzema, Ibra, they are all available
if money is not an issue for Agnelli, we have a lot of option
