VDV instead of Diego ? Seriously if were looking for a Second Striker VDV wouldn't be it. He would play as LM, and would be very good there. But if Diego and Trez leave, I think we need somebody upfront and G. Rossi would be much better than Di Natale.

I don't think theres much of a difference between Diego and VDV. Both were very good in the Bundesliga, both play primarily as attacking mids. I'd say VDV is the more versatile of the two, as he is able to play as CM and has at times played as a winger even if he is rather restricted there. Also VDV strikes me as the better passer of the ball, but Diego is the more flamboyant of the two, the better dribbler and the harder worker too.

Pretty much agree with you comparing Diego and vdV, Fred. Diego is definitely the harder worker, where vdV is a better passer and has a better shot aswell.

Flamboyant.. Well not sure. Rafael does everything with flair, style, lovely player to watch.
