Just wanted to say, that Badass is IMO a better informant then Mark. His information is always close to the truth. Mark says a lot of bullshit. Benitez being the first thing that springs to mind.

But, you are both the life of the transfer forums, sad to see only fighting between our infromants.

Marks just toys with us, he knows every transfer in every league 10 years ahead of time. Wanker just feeds on our transger frenzy like an internet version of a tabloid newspaper.

I'd love to read sometime in the near future that we got Guarente for bread crumbs. Though his position is not a priority, getting him would be awesome as it would be an awesome talent/price ratio 8-|

which aspect? or just in general?
I would think just the general level of payers we are being linked with. it is somewhat underwhelming. Like we all hope for the best and certainly some of the players are good. But nothing exceptional. And to compete with Inter we really need big time players.

The players we are linked with are top 4 team players but not enough to take a team who got 7th to the title. Only exceptional players can do that. Juventus used to be in contention to sign the best in the world now teams like Tottenham and Man City have much more clout then we have.

i see what you mean but i think we're looking for more balance rather than individual quality, which seems to be the mistake of the last administrations policy, but nothing is signed and sealed yet, they are just primary targets so far, which makes a change from the endless list of suggestive names.

well i have no problems with mark, he does a good job outsourcing from Italian speaking forums which can be a little misleading, i have no problem with that but i hate lists of suggestive names, its gets us nowhere and sometimes added disappointment, all i do is add a bit of clarity. Anycase i call truce.

I am just worried we will be stuck with many players who we cant offload and cant use (like we kinda are now). It makes much more sense to buy 2 or 3 super talented players then buy 5 or 6 decent ones. Especially seeing how we are not in the CL and can afford to just put our money into having a really good starting 11 (like the team we had under Capello) that plays week in and week out.

We defn have enough money to make some big impact signings like a top Winger such as Silva/Mata or a forward like Augero/ RVP. I think even buying one of that elite level player would galvanize the whole team and be a huge boost to the club. Sure we should look at players like Criscito, Kjaer and players who we do NEED to be good again. But we also need a player or 2 who can totally lift the club.

I honestly think our team is afraid to take a big risk on one player by spending big and instead decides to spend less massively on several players hoping a few of them will really shine. But I would far rather them drop 40- 50 million on a player who is almost a certainty to perform.

Like if we bought Augero/ RVP, Criscito, Kjaer and a right winger.. that would be a hugely successful transfer season

if all works out so far:

-----------------------Buffon
cassani-------zapata------Chiellini-----Criscito

xx--------------Melo?-------Marchisio----Palladino?

------------------------Diego

-----------------------Gila?

despite a few uncertainties, i dont think thats too bad, certainly i can see how it would switch to a 4-2-3-1 offensively

edit: forgot to add cassani :p

That sucks imo.. We want to play with wingers and playing with Pepe and Palladino is a joke.. a big club like us should aim for players like Robben and Hazard when playing with wingers.. Okay, we might not be on top at the moment. but we should atleast get players like Vargas and Sanchez on the wings.!

I see that it is a decent team but I am sure we will have no chance of winning the title with this team. and we have to ask ourselves what our ambitions are. If we aspire to the title we must be more ambitious. Thats what I would like to tell the higher ups at the club. You have to spend inorder to get some level of success. Even if it is scary to spend money when money is tight. Risks pays off.
