Same here. i never very impressed with Kjaer when i watched him.. His pace and strength worries me and make him lost the duel against far more dynamic and fast striker.. I like Zapata more when he played before the big injury but i don't know how he play right now... How about Douglas (Twente) or David Luiz (Benfica)

Nice post, his strength against Cassano in the first leg of Samp-Palermo is a good example. Quite surprising that there are a few with major doubts on Kjær, I thought I was the only one.

I'm so glad you mentioned David Luiz.

Marcelo has been doing quite well in midfield this year though, hasn't he? Not that that would stop Real from replacing him, I guess.

Has anyone seen enough of Otamendi to say if he'd be a better partner for Chiellini then Kjaer and if there's a chance of him coming. I think it's pretty obvious he's moving this summer but I've only seen him a few times so can't really judge if he's a better option or how much it would take to get him.

I think Gilardino is the better player.

However, his failure to perform at Milan does raise the question of whether he can play well at a big club.
