With our incompetent medical staff, I wouldn't wan't an injury prone player such as RVP.

Juve step up move for Kjaer Thursday 22 April, 2010

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus have made Palermo centre-back Simon Kjaer their No 1 choice to rebuild their defence this summer.

The 21-year-old Denmark international is widely regarded as one of the brightest defensive prospects in Europe.

He has made 31 starting appearances this season, inspiring the Rosanero to fifth place in Serie A.

Tuttosport understands that Juventus have scheduled a meeting with Palermo for the beginning of May.

However, contact has reportedly already been made and Juventus have been referred to Kjaer's €12m release clause.

Kjaer's agent has also apparently met Manchester City to discuss their transfer strategy this summer.

Palermo are said to be more inclined to do a deal with Juventus, though, as they have a very strong relationship stemming from the Amauri transfer.

Juventus are keen to bring down Kjaer's price by offering the other half of Davide Lanzafame's contract and possibly Albin Ekdal as well.

Really?

Eduardo looks a shadow of his former self.
His former self? I have never seen him play a good match...but maybe I haven`t been following him that much.
Yes, indeed. I think he just needs a change of scenery, and methinks he'll fit this league like a glove. He'll be far cheaper than RVP, not to mention we wouldn't be sacrificing Melo or Buffon to acquire him.

Van Persie is one hell of a player and the only thing holding him back are his injuries. I would love to have him here but our medical staff would ruin him.
yes i dont deny van persie's talent, but there is no way im prepared to see us part with a player who i feel can be a major asset, and cash that we cant afford to piss up the wall with.
