I like Afellay when he plays a bit further back in midfield, more as a playmaker than an attacking midfielder. He used to play pretty far upfield.

Since we want wingers.. Elia? We won't be able to get Robben from Bayern.

I'd have Afellay, play him next to Melo or Marchisio in a 4-2-3-1, as he's an excellent passer. He used to be an attacking mid but he's been playing deeper in midfield this year and it suits him.

I'd love Van der Vaart, but it all depends on how we'd play, not sure how he'd do next to Diego for example. Unless Madrid intend to buy more midfielders I don't see him leaving though.

I'm only thinking about the attacking minded players who make our national team, they pretty much all qualify. Van Persie, VdVaart, Robben, Elia.

Elia could be a realistic target and since we need a RB aswell, Van der Wiel please!

We need to stay clear of any other Dutch defenders though.
