Juve swap Palla for Criscito
Thursday 18 March, 2010
Juventus have apparently agreed to bring Raffaele Palladino back from Genoa permanently in return for the full rights of Domenico Criscito.

Both players are part-owned by Juventus and Genoa, and Tuttosport understands that talks have been ongoing over the last month to resolve their futures.

Juventus would like Palladino back in Turin this summer, as they look to boost their options on the flanks, which have been lacking since Pavel Nedved's retirement.

In order to do so, they have offered a cash sum and the remaining 50 per cent of Criscito's contract. In total, the cost of the transfer is said to be €10m.

However, the real interest lies in Criscito's long-term future. The 23-year-old defender has attracted the attention of both Milan clubs, but Inter seem ever more likely to be his next destination.

The Nerazzurri have a very strong relationship with Genoa and are believed to be offering David Suazo plus a lump sum for Criscito in the summer.

Genoa President Enrico Preziosi isn't completely sold on the idea just yet though, and is considering asking for Riccardo Quaresma to form part of the deal.

Juve to swap Amauri for Kjaer
Wednesday 17 March, 2010
Juventus are apparently giving serious thought to swapping Amauri for Palermo's promising young centre-back Simon Kjaer.

The Bianconeri are in a phase of reconstruction after a disappointing season and they want to start building from the back.

Fabio Cannavaro is likely to retire at the end of the season and rather than bring in another veteran, Juventus are keen to rejuvenate their ageing squad.

Kjaer has made 53 appearances for Palermo in his first two seasons in Italy and the 20-year-old Denmark international is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Europe.

He is set to go to the World Cup in South Africa this summer, which will put him even more in the shop window.

Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly interested, making it imperative that Juventus move quickly.

Il Corriere dello Sport understands the Bianconeri feel that Palermo could be tempted into taking Amauri back as collateral for Kjaer.

The Brazilian centre-forward, who spent two very successful seasons with the Rosanero, has found it tough in Turin over the last year.

Juventus have apparently already spoken to Kjaer's agent about the prospect of doing a deal.

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has also said that he would welcome Amauri back to the Renzo Barbera.

Getting rid of the 29-year-old would kill two birds with one stone for Juventus, as they would not only get a highly rated centre-back, but a space would be freed up in the squad for another striker.

The Bianconeri's vice-general manager Roberto Bettega is very keen on Sampdoria's Giampaolo Pazzini and a bid for his services this summer appears to be on the cards.

I wouldn't do that if i were Secco , if Palermo wants him just sell his ass out and use the cash to buy another approved CB.
It's a shame we have such a bad GM as our sport director , with the bad negotiating skill and been bullied by lot of other clubs GM :sergio:

If this deal of losing Criscito to get Palladino back happened, I would consider it possibly the most illogical moves made in recent years.

There have been other deals which have been rubbish, but I could generally see the sense in them.

I cannot see the thinking behind this deal, unless there is already a deal in place for a left back who is better than Criscito.

I can't see that being the case, though.

So true. This is just mind-bogling.

lol, half of Criscito + cash for a half of Palladino? it's not like the guy is worth 20 millions :D it's really sad if this is happening. i hoped that in case we lose Mimmo we would at least gain a decent sum of money, cause we will need to buy for defence anyway...

it really can't get any more retarded. no one would be stupid enough to do that.

If this is the case it will most probably be some money laundering operation, becasue this deal wouldn't make any other sence.

Even if we have a deal for a left back (I didn't think that Criscito was in the plans anyway) the deal doesn't make sense because it involves bringing palladino back when we already have the likes of Paolucci, Immobile and Marrone etc.

But hey...look on the brightside. We get to enjoy the fruits of our youth policy since Palladingo has gained so much experience from his time spent at Genoa. I can't wait, Giovinco's time away did him so much good I can only imagine what Palla is going to bring.
