Whats the point in being one of them, when you don't win things?

The Giovinco argument is beyond me, how does he play when he's injured?

Of course theres a point in being a competitior, sometimes your opponents are only marginally better than you, and if you compete till the last day of the season, and lose by 2 -3 point margin, then there really isn't that much of a difference between you and the rival that won the league. Its an indication that you can win things in the future.

Giovinco never got his fair chance when he was fit, i think it would be safe to assume that he would be warming the bench even if he had been fit.

He's been benched under 3 different coaches, by now he should be fed up.

He's 22 already, his development has stagnated as a result of the lack of playing time he gets.

Right now, he desperately needs playing time to continue his development and not be just another wasted talent
Tell me where he should go to then? He would not suit England, Spain who would be interested and it's pointless to just move to another club in Italy where he will be treated the same. Example Empoli days.

He should be fed up, but what sense would there be in moving to another club, where he may or may not play, rather than at least speaking to Juve's new coach to see what he has to say?

He should move to a club that give him assurances for a chance in the first team. Even if that meant moving to a relatively inferior club like Roma or Fiorentina. He could get the playing time his development needs and move on to a bigger club in a later stage in the future.

As someone who hates seeing talents like Giovinco wasted, i really hope he moves to another club where he would actually play.

They were both co-owned for roughly the same amount, with Criscito costing Genoa 5.5m and Palladino 5m. Criscito is also more of a fixture at Genoa which only further increases his value compared to Palladino.

This rumour of cash + Criscito for Palladino is obviously bullshit because value wise, Criscito is worth more.

Why wouldn't he suit England? If he moves to the right team, i think he would do well in England.

If the likes of Fiorentina, Napoli, Genoa or Roma came calling, imo he should move.

Edit: I forgot, Ranieri coaches Roma :sergio:

Juventus fans surly hope that is not the case. Since when is 23 years of age old anyway?

I don't really care if he stays or goes.

If Juve aren't going to play him, they should cash in on him and buy someone they will play.

No one really cares about Giovinco in Italy it seems. He's loved in all forums around, whether its a Milan, Inter or Arsenal forum. The thing is that he doesn't really get the appreciation in Italy.

Last season, Giovinco had really good stats and was creating and playing good every time Ranieri gave him the chance but he never got any love from the media. Look at Candreva for example, he's not even half the player Giovinco is, he was even Seba's reserve on the bench in Azzurini but as soon as he played two good games for us, he's getting so much praise from the media. I've never seen any newspapers or famous Italian experts advocating for Seba's case. No one is talking about his situation, not even when we're having one of the worst seasons in a long, long time. I really feel sorry for him.

No one is talking about his sitaution NOW, because as unfortunate as it is, its not much to say as an outsider. But Gio when he came back to Juve, and was dominating the Azzurrini, he was hailed by every single god damn calcio profile there is. Capello, Zoff, Sacchi, Zola, you name it, they proclaimed him to a real special talent and future of Italy and so on. He did not get a shortage of praise.

And there been murmurs of Juve not using their youngsters well enough in the club (usually in constrast to when Santon and Balo got their chance in Inter), but yeah not much can be said when he is benched even if he performs or such. Just gets repetetive otherwise.

I cant say much about what kinda plaudits Candreva gets in Italy, but its surely far from what Gio got (Del piero comparisons all the time).

P.S I agree that he is ignored NOW, and fyi dont think he should leave, but he didnt receive too little attention mostly when he shined IMO. Atleast not less then Candreva as you make it seem like (and yes, Candreva is NOT as good as him).

I know you are a strong Giovinco advocate, but Giovinco's style just doesn't suit Juventus in its current form. It's a sad fact. With all the talent he has he is just too lightweight to play trequartista (look at the abuse Diego gets) and no one trusts him defensively to play him left wing, so unless we play the 4-2-3-1 or play him as a second striker he is going to limited.

Until when should he stick around waiting for his opportunity Os?
Until the new Juve coach tells him what are his plans. Sure starter, occasional starter, not counting on him at all etc. Depending on the answer Gio should decide what to do.
Giovinco has been injured since the moment Zaccheroni came. The statements that Seba hasn't been given a chance under 3 different coaches in Juve are wrong. Giovinco didn't even have a chance to play under Zaccheroni. He was injured before Juve-Milan (in Ferrara's time), he came back for 2-3 days before he got injured again, which he still is.

Suit Juventus? What suits us, really? And please don't give me that talk about being defensive and not taking "risks" offensively. Honestly, we've been playing with these so called "defensive experts", playing defensive formations, and we've been preferring defense over offense all year and we're still shit.
Maybe its time to stop worrying about what players like Giovinco lack in defense and instead see what they can offer offensively cause these defensive players haven't been doing us any good.

Tell that to the coach, no need to convince me. So, assuming he would be fit, which he hasn't been for a long time, what system would you play?

And then back to reality, what would you play with the currently available players?

4-3-2-1 is a good for now with the available players. I would love to see us playing 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 when we get some of our injured players back.
