Antonio Di Natale has taken a night to consider Juventus’ offer even though he told Udinese fans he turned it down, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
*
Last night, it emerged that Juventus are prepared to sell Diego for €17m plus add-ons and sign Di Natale for less than half that price.
*
Speaking at the official presentation of Udinese’s squad ahead of the new season, he said: “I don’t know anything about this. I want to stay in Udine, where I’m happy and I want to end my career.”
*
However, now that he is aware of Juventus’ interest, Di Natale has apparently asked to discuss it with his family rather than dismiss it out of hand.
*
La Gazzetta says the move is 'almost certain' and understands that Udinese have also started looking for alternatives, the favourite being Cagliari striker Alessandro Matri.
