Hopefully, but Secco said that we are buying quality, not quantity this year and i dont expect to see two new starters after Cassano. We might have to choose a priority some time in the future, at least to determine to whom we are focusing our attention and biggest part of our remaining budget.
You can't turn Camo as a sub just like that. That's a very tricky situation actually.
If he keeps missing most of the season then yes. But what if he's fit during the entire season? Will you make your priority buying a MR and when you do you'll play the new guy and keep a healthy Camo on the bench?
Our priorities must be for places in the team where our starters are not good enough. RB, CB, LB and a MC/AMC.
But Camo is already a sub

He is inconsistent, injury prone, hothead, lost almost all the season and never plays for a full 90'.
Being 33 doesnt really helps him. Chances are that he wont be fully fit next season neither...
You can buy a top notch RM and fire the competition between them.
Thats exactly what i had in mind! If the newcomer wants to be a starter, he should take it from Camo. Soon or later he will take the spot as Camo grows older or injured/suspended. And that competition would really benefit us, because it will force them to deliver some consistent performances to prove themselves.
If we had coverage in other positions I would agree. But at least in Camo we have one good option at RM. We have none in our RB, LB and LM (after nedved retires) position.
Good point, even at the best case scenario, we have only Zebina as our best option there, Mellberg is barely decent and Grygera is just Grygera.
But on the other hand, we have 3 choices and they all seem to be somewhat better than Marchionni. If Camo is benched, we are
:coffee: buy Ribery and we have a player who can do both left and right
or Silva, yes that would be resourceful, we could afford to try out Giovinco or DC, when Camo is fully fit and avoid getting stacked with Marchionni when he isnt.
