Definitely wrong here. Masch is probably the best midfielder that plays the role of the sweeper in front of the defense. World class tackler. Players like De Rossi and Essien are more complete midfielders than him, but i really cannot think of 10 DM's that are better than him. I'd be interested to see your list.

I'm not really a jerk. Frankly, I'm a nice guy. But you claimed Marchisio will reach DR's or Essien's level in "no-time." Basically, with the insertion of Essien, one could argue you meant to say Marchisio would become the world's best midfielder. That is clearly not going to happen, barring a miracle. Even saying he will be another DR is questionable.

lol. I know your not a jerk, I was just being sarcastic when i wrote that and I also know that marchisio probably wont reach those heights, but you know what? It could happen, he is only 23 years old and it is football, nothing is impossible in this game, right? I also know that a lot of people in this forum are very strict on their intellectual writing, so I'll try to keep that in mind when posting.

As far as the 'General' part of this thread goes, we should be focusing on defenders only at this point.

I believe Rafa Marquez will be a free agent this summer. Secco should definitely look into that

Essien etc are billed as DMFs so that is what they shall be for the purposes of this list
