Why is that American atletes are usually quite friendly and humble, but that whenever Americans form a team they become arrogant and untouchable? It's not necessarily bad, I mean, arrogance can make you win the Olympics, but it's a strange transformation.
No idea what you're talking about, Andries.

I think you're confusing us with the French. They were the morons who let their team arrogance go to their heads.

We're usually pretty humble until someone starts talking nonsense. The French shouldn't have opened the door. Most Americans love it when our opponents talk at us, it gives us that motivation and turns us into strange monsters. I don't think there was really any arrogance from the 4x100 team, that was a hell of a relay win.
Exactly. Dude, that was the most amazing race I've ever seen. That comeback on the final 50 meters was simply breathtaking.

I hate to read to much into it, but there's no way an Olympian and world-record-holder of that caliber should come up gimpy in the last leg of that event unless he's psyched himself out with his own words.

I have to believe Bernard torpedoed himself with his own mouth before the race, putting too much of a mental game on him to where he flat out physically did not run his usual race.

fools!!!! the truth about beijing olympics is that during closing ceremony the aliens will come and take over the world!
Btw, look a couple of pages up (page 36). All the athletes are already dead. What we're witnessing is a feat of movie-making direction and production using the corpses.

Quite elaborate, I might add. Makes those fake moon landings seem pretty cheesy by comparison. :pado:

I hope London learns from this mistake and uses 30 actual anal cannons to kick off the opening ceremonies in 2012.

Actually, I hate people who watch the opening ceremonies and are "amazed" and "Breath-taken" by what they see.

Cut the crap. The olympics are about sport, not Broadway Bullshit.

Dude, the olympics aren't even about sport anymore. Its about doping, money and allowing events which aren't close to being athletically challenging to be medal worthy

The olympics are the dumbest thing mankind can do.

True to some extent. I just hate the losers who castigated me for not caring about the stupid opening ceremonies. God, what a bunch of fags.

the original events like cycling, running, track and field, swimming are acceptable. but not sync swimming or diving. nor is the 20km & 50km walk. or any shooting event or mens gymnastics.

mens gymnastics is just gay and diving is is up there too. but it mainly falls on the fact that its based on choreography and judges subjective reasoning. its like a dance competition. you catch my drift?
