The 32Gb Motorola Xoom is available now for about $500. I think it would be perfect for my mom who really finds PC's to be complicated. What do you guys think?

Jack, anything you regret about the Xoom?

EDIT: Acer Iconia A500 for pretty much the same price.
My sister bought my mom an iPad2 and this was after I gave her my old Thinkpad T42. She has more gadgets than I do!

But she really likes her iPad2, she uses it for pretty much everything.

Yeah, the specs were quite identical. But I kind of preferred the look and build of the Iconia. Also, the Iconia has a full-size USB port, and the website I was ordering it from was giving a free sleeve with the Iconia and nothing with the Xoom.
I am sure it's a great tablet, I was pondering getting it too but went for the Xoom instead because of the fast updates and the Google original stock HB.

Jack, I got Fivefingers today. The Speed ones. I'll run in them in a few hours.

I envy you. I am sure you will enjoy the run but make sure not to run a lot, take it easy in the beginning.
Yeah, I'm planning to run 2k. Problem seems to be that the cramping isn't always felt immediately, so I'll have to be very careful. Going to do weights in them too as they are very stable! I already love them.

Run at a lower tempo than you usually do and make sure you stretch your tibia muscles afterwards. That's where most of the damage occurs. Man, I so much want to go out and try them for a run, and I feel like crying.

    So why can't you?

Damn that sucks. Oddly enough it's one of the injuries Fivefingers are supposedly good for. You done the usual tennis ball self massage thing?
No, I haven't, is it good? I tried other things but didn't really help.

Yeah, it is pretty good. You ever do foam rolling for your muscles? It's like that, only you take a tennis ball and roll the bottom of your foot with it. It hurts, quite badly by the way, but you feel much looser afterwards.

Best result is achieved by standing upright and sort of stepping on the tennis bal and rolling it with your foot.

I heard a lot about foam rolling but never did it. I will try the tennis ball shall I massage my foot while standing on the ball or shall I roll the ball with my hand on my foot?

I do it while standing (when I do it, because I only suffered from PF for a very short while). The thing is it hurts more this way, but otherwise the pressure just isn't enough.
