Why would the English clubs agree to this in the first place? They don't need the money it was only the Italian and Spanish sides that did. Now they've dropped out?
The CL reforms were already in progress and UEFA were already planning to change the format to benefit the 'historical' clubs (due to the never ending murmurs of the Super League). Only the official announcement was pending. So the actual announcement of the ESL as a bargaining ploy makes no sense.
It helps as a leverage for future negotiations ("we will leave for sure next time). But yeah it makes no sense to think this was a negotiation tactic this time. It went full on war declaration with serious consequences and bottomlines potentially effected. Seem to underestimated how severely unpopular idea it is.

No surprise it's the oil idiots to do it. They have no clue what they're doing, just using what they have over others, money. Still nothing from the english big 3?
This place is the only place ive seen where the majority of the people are for the super league, im honestly suprised, i dont think ive met a person who is for it
Not too long ago we were reading hot takes like Saponara > Isco, Dybala > ADP, Pjanic being a 100m player, and us already having signed Milik for 50m. And at times didn't know which thread I was reading last season, they all read the same. More positivity this season despite being fourth.
And now we futuristic and supporting SL, setting the bar for future footy fan generations.
