    Portnoy is very good.But he isnt the best ever.He's into more than drumming..he produces,writies lyrics etc.So he's a very good musician overall,but he's not the best Drummer ever.John Bonham for one,is miles ahead of him.What he would have achieved had he not died at such a young age is pretty scary.

    Well, i got a rock group too. We are the RiverSide!
    We play a covers for for out fav. bands, like Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Radiohead, RHCP and others.
    We earned a lot of money from our concerts :D Yeah! We in our way to be a rock stars!

    You need a drummer, bassit, and two guitar players (Rhythm and lead) and sure the vocals (who can be one of the guitar players).
    You don't need a keyboard. I dont know, it's up to you.

    yup i agree about 2 guitars
    but no keyboard player???
    There are a lot of bands who don't have a keyboard player (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd...), and there are who got one (Deep Purple). It depends on ur style, of want to include a keyboard there's nothing wrong about it.
    My bands play metal and rock stuff which don't need a keyboard.. and dont know what ur band's style.
    as i said - it's up to u.

    We also got it as a "dream", we just play for fun. no one of us is gonna build a career outta this shit.

    im 18 and in 2 months im going to university
    for fun huh???
    500 $ for buying a simple drum kit+taking lessons learning how to play drums...sounds big time to me....and the same for the whole group.
