How about this massive fuck up from Intel? Over the last few months there have been ongoing problems with instability issues on 13th and 14th Gen Intel CPUs.

Intel's handling of this whole debacle has been abysmal and they only have themselves to blame for turning people to AMD and earning a "do not buy" from most tech reviewers.

yeah look at their stock, fully deserved, and i don't think the market is done with them already:

they've made too many strategic mistakes: arc gpu's, their ai stuff, the cpu issues you mentioned, etc

i guess i need a new ssd for my photos

as obvious from the screenshot, this is a 2tb kingston nv2 that has been ONLY used to store my photos. even the thumbnail files and cache for lightroom/capture one are on the system drive. it was never full, not even above 60% of its capacity. and is like 2-3 years old.

fortunately i make offline backups on a slow but reliable hdd on a monthly basis and have online backup on a nas too. i think i haven't lost any photos.

never getting these kingston nv2 family drives again. atrocious durability.

I own Wd my passport external hard with 4 TB capacity and USB type, has been served me for 2 years and have had no issue. I transfer my data to the hard with the USB connection and rapid data transfer without freezing or lagging. 3 TB data including images, video clips(IT tutorials), movies and etc.
