As I said it earlier, Fred and Tahir are not the ones to be blamed for Seven's ban. You can say they are equally guilty maybe, but I didn't see them ask Seven to get banned, thou I don't know how it started, or what happened in the mod forums (who came with the idea to ban him)..

I don't see a lot of people blaming me, but i see a lot of fingers being pointed at Ze, which i think is extremely unfair. Alen said in the start of the thread that he had nothing to do with Seven getting banned, but a lot of people are conveniently ignoring that.

I always thought you all were having fun of making fun of each others, never thought it would go this far (ending with bans) :wth:

I never wanted it to end with anyone getting banned. If it was up to me Seven would be unbanned. But then again thats why me and you aren't mods Snoop :D

He's neither the victim nor Hitler, how is that? It takes two to tango and as long as people keep trying to get back at Seven they're guilty of what they say they disapprove of.
So what do you suggest as a solution for this? The non-concerned members are tired of seeing that tango and the concerned members are either enjoying the dance or addicted to it. What is the best thing to do?

seven is one that looks foor a reaction, a cyber attention seeker, but as well as him there are the ones that like to provoke him, its that simple, no one involved directly can say they are innocent. they like to provoke, he likes to get a reaction.

although i do believe seven can take it a bit far with his multiple religious threads that claim atheism is better than religious beliefs, or muslim beliefs, but certain protaganists in sevens banning know he is like this and they add fuel to the fire per say.

all a tad childish in my honest opinion, this constant im better than you or what i believe in is better than what you believe is just immature.

the way to solve this is a simple requests to the ones involved, seven included that if they want to have a discussion do it maturely, without the personal attacks and bickering

You think that hasn't been tried?

im sure it has, but this time make it clear otherwise sadly a long term ban should be applied untill that person can accept the terms, now im not saying it should all be boring and seven shouldnt do his little social experiments but just tone it down with the personal attacks, if someone finds something offensive accept it and change it.

Seven's been banned for life before. And before long he was back. He'll be back again. The time he's away from the forum calms this place down a bit. And then we are back to normal service.

You cannot ask every new member to ignore five or six members just because these five or six member want to keep on throwing shit at each other.
You are probably right! But then again, it's his insults to Allah or religions that is making all these hate against him, Muhammad/Jesus cartoons etc.. If the members are extremist religious, they will get offended, but isn't this their problem? As long as he is not calling names/insulting Muslims directly, I don't see any problem in that.

Everyone should have their right to express their feelings/hate about this topic, as long as it doesn't turn to personal battles, personal insults.. From what I noticed, it's the new members start all that.

I don't know, maybe it's just me who love to make fun of taboos..

Some alternatives.
1) Ban Seven. But this is unjust because he's not deserving a ban for what he does imo.
2) Apply gentle pressure on Seven to stop provoking. This is delicate because you have to make sure you're speaking to him not as an authority with demands but more as a buddy with a request. However, Seven is a particularly difficult case because to him provocation is more of a calling than a hobby. In other words, asking him to stop is tantamount to asking him to stop enjoying this place. So I wouldn't bet my house on it.
3) Try to talk sense into the people who are taking this so personally. This is what I've always tried to do, along with 2). This is not trivial, of course.
When you're a parent and your kid gets called a name in school, what do you do? Tell him not to take it so hard, that people sometimes do things not because they really hate you but because they have their own problems. And that yes, sometimes people will say things you don't like to hear, but that's just the way life is.
