Like you said, other players with exceptions were let in, it’s not a personal thing but it looks like Australia requires actual medical reasons if you have to skip the vaccine and this was a case of novaxx just not wanting to be vaccinated.

Asking for vaccinated status? It has been happening for months now. Most countries don't allow you entry without a vaccine. Even if they do, you have to quarantine for a couple of weeks.

You are not allowed to board planes to a lot of countries if you don't show proof of vaccination.
NBA players for example can't play in Toronto if they are not vaccinated.
