Inter lost to Atalanta today in the Trofeo Sky 3-2.

Didn't Zanetti deny that Inter are in crisis last week? Now he says that the international break is good to gain their form back :D

Then again, how many times Inter thought that the international break is good for them to gain their form back? I mean since 1989.

Jeeks, thats not crisis for Inter anymore. Its pretty natural to them to play like shit. I mean, for almos 20 years, everytime the same thing, you gotta get used to it.

Atalanta Beat Inter In Friendly Match

The Bergamaschi defeated their opponents 3-2 in a match in honour of Giacinto Facchetti.

Atalanta won the Trofeo Sky, against an Inter side without many of its international players.

Roberto Mancini's side took the lead in the 44th minute with Burdisso following an Ibrahimovic free-kick. However, Atalanta equalized in the 57th minute with Soncin following a good move by Doni.

Inter took the lead once again in the 65th minute thanks to a Figo set-piece.

Atalanta did not give up and equalized in the 82nd minute with an own goal by Burdisso following a header by Ferreira Pinto.

Exactly in the 90th minute, Ferreira Pinto made it 3-2 for the home team to award Atalanta with the Sky trophy, whereas Roberto Mancini will have to work more on a team which once again failed to impress.

oops...poor Mancinino....

Kily Gonzalez Attacks Mancini

The Argentiniean winger does not believe that Mancio is a coach yet.

Former Inter player Kily Gonzalez heavily criticized Roberto Mancini on a South American newspaper, El Grafico.

"Mancini behaves himself still like a player, many of his reactions are not taken well by the squad."

Kily Gonzalez also denied the rumours that there was a division at Inter between Adriano and Argentinean players.

"There were never any problems between us Argentineans and Adriano, who only had discussions with Veron, a winner, who's used to say the things in people's faces."

The 32-year-old former Inter player now plays for Rosario Central following his unsuccessful spell with the Nerazzurri.

Inter boss Roberto Mancini maintains that last night’s Sky Trophy friendly at Atalanta was a useful test despite the 3-2 defeat.

The game was held a month after Giacinto Facchetti’s death to honour the memory of Il Capitano, who also served briefly as Vice-President of Atalanta in 1980.

The Bergamaschi twice came back from behind, after Inter took the lead with Nicolas Burdisso and Luis Figo, to snatch a last minute victory with a right-foot shot by Adriano Ferreira.

Burdisso, who wore the No 3 shirt before it was withdrawn after Facchetti’s death, also netted an own goal in the tie.

Coach Mancini fielded Esteban Cambiasso, Alvaro Recoba and Julio Cruz after their injury problems, but was forced to replace the midfielder on 16 minutes with Figo.

“We had a small problem with Cambiasso at the start,” Mancio told Sky Italia after the encounter.

“He preferred to come off because we had worked hard the day before and he probably hadn't recovered.

“In any case, tonight’s friendly was useful because it gave me the opportunity to field those who have played less in the first part of the season.”

The Nerazzurri boss made several tactical changes during the match, trying both a diamond formation and a flat midfield four.

“There's not all that much difference between the two systems,” continued the former Sampdoria and Lazio player.

“The important thing was for me to see different players in action. The overall mood is good although there is a bit of regret after the Cagliari draw – you always hope to win.

“We have to understand the moment as this was a very hard month,” the Italian underlined.

“Now we are working hard and we will give the team a couple of days to recover ahead of the upcoming matches.”

Atalanta 3-2 Inter

Atalanta: Ivan, Talamonti (Loria 65), P. Adriano, Bellini (Mauri 82), Ariatti, Tissone, Abeijon, Doni (Bombardini 65), Ferreira, Corrazzieri, Soncin

Inter: Toldo (Julio Cesar 46), Cordoba (42 Marino 46), Zanetti (Bonucci 71), Maxwell, Ibrahimovic (Recoba 46), Cruz (Choutos 66), Burdisso, Cambiasso (Figo 16) Samuel (Biabiany 85), Maaroufi (Filkor 84), Gonzalez (Solari 46)

 lol oh deary me, they cant win even if their lives depended on it, they obviously show no grit and determination if they cant even win in the name of fachetti, and its not like inter set out a weak squad, certainly on paper they shud of beaten atalanta, but well done atalanta :) it shows that they are more so worthy of wearing the nerazzuri colours than inter do

I'm not so familiar with Atalanta, did they line up their first eleven?

Anyways well done, a lot of familiar names lined up in Inters squad.

So, try to choose the most stupid comment...:D

I believe the only reason we lost in the Champions League was because of the red cards. If we’d had 11 men on the field, we probably would’ve beaten Bayern Munich 1-0.”
Roberto Mancini continues to clutch at straws. Of course, if Inter had 25 shots on goal and knocked the goalkeeper unconscious, they would’ve won 25-0. But they didn’t

If we don’t shoot ourselves in the foot and are able to stay united through difficult times, then we can certainly win the Scudetto and Champions League.”
Mancini, what are the chances – let’s be realistic here – of Inter not shooting themselves in the foot? To be fair, there is a large target painted on their toes with 'Shoot Here to Win a Cuddly Toy’

Someone has told me that this Scudetto is cursed.”
Marco Materazzi forgets that Inter struggled just as much without the Scudetto shield on their chest…
