"It's our own fault," admits Mancini.

Internazionale coach Roberto Mancini admitted that Adriano's poor form is a result of the club pushing him too hard after his return from the World Cup this summer. The club have sent the mis-firing striker back to Brazil on indefinite leave so that he can have "complete rest" at a health farm.

"The World Cup was very tiring and stressful for him from a psychological point of view," Mancini said.
"We wanted to have him back early, so for that reason I say it was our error. Speaking to Adriano, I think at this moment in time he needs to stay calm, take a few days to rest and train productively when he returns.

"A lot of players struggle to regain their form after a World Cup, so Adriano isn't the only one.

"In the old days they used to send players into the mountains for five or six days to recuperate and relax. Now there is this option. He feels calm at home and that's fine with us.

"It was a decision we took together with Adriano and evaluated all the alternatives, picking what was best for him and Inter.

"The most important thing is that he can get back in shape, as at times you need to really switch off for a while."

I would very much welcome Adriano to Juventus as a possible replacement for Trezeguet next season.

I think he would ressurect himself in Juve.

Oh, Adriano's a brilliant player. The only problem he's got is that he's playing for Inter. If he were playing for Juventus, he'd be highly rated by everyone. The guy doesn't have psychological problems, he's just not right for Inter. Apart from Figo no one is anyway.

Overrated?

I don´t think so and I think many of people here with agree with me that he would shine in Juventus.

I think Adriano is a terrific player the time he was near the top high on confidence form postive things happen everything was going right everything kept on going on his left side and he was hitting some great strikes tho when u are low in form confidence things just seem to get worse u seem always stuck on ur right and when ur on ur left u hit them horribly or u cannot even get to the ball! It is a fine line between being invicible and being horrible! Mancini says he needs time to clear his head it may work but i say all his gonna do is put on the weight with a body shape such as Adrianos as soon as u get off track its hard to get back on it! It is a must for him to play in the Brazilian League!

mybe it was a bad choice of words, but he didnt show any consistency for a long while now.

Anyway i dont think we NEED him, as i said somewhere else if Trezi was to leave we need someone who would deliver 15,20+ goals every season. Is Adriano that player ? i dont know

when Adriano was at Parma he was on the way to one of the best players in the World...then he joined Inter

:agree:

But he has a chance for a comeback.

I recommend him a year in Brazil on a loan and then a return to Europe, but definitely not Inter.
