Lazio Want Juve's Boumsong
Lazio have added another player to their long list of defenders that they are currently following in a bid to replace the departing Guglielmo Stendardo.
Jean Alain Boumsong is the latest defender to be linked to Lazio according to Italian daily sports newspaper 'Tuttosport'.
The French player is not finding too much space in the Bianconeri's first team and will find it difficult to break into the starting line-up following Giorgio Chiellini's explosion as a central defender and the competition of Nicola Legrottaglie.
During a meeting between the two clubs earlier this week, Juventus had discussed with Lazio the possibility of having a first option on young talent Lorenzo De Silvestri for Antonio Mirante.
However, during the meeting, Lazio also discussed the possibility of signing Boumsong, a player whom Delio Rossi would be pleased to take aboard.
The only problem in this operation is the fact that Boumsong earns more than the salary cap Lazio have imposed on themselves and therefore negotiations could prove to be lengthy.
