Hey guys! First time poster here.
Saw this thread after searching for a discussion on people traveling to the Coppa Italia Final in Rome May 20th.
The other half has been very off and on about going to Rome for three days, but at the moment, it looks like I may be flying solo for the first time leaving the country (26 and living in England).
I've been preparing myself for it since the second leg of the semi-final against Milan, and when Vucinic scored that screamer, I yelled the house down. I'm not very popular with my neighbours now, given it was in extra time and probably around 10pm GMT when that goal went in!
So psyched for it. As I've said, it'll be my first time out of the country, my first Juventus game in Italy and my second Juve game in total (went to Gary Neville's testimonial, but I have yet to see the Old Lady in her own home!) so I'm hoping for a glorious 10th Coppa Italia to add to the THIRTY Scudetto.
Gutted that Del Piero has said it's likely to be his last game though, as he's the reason I'm Juventini. Started watching him on Football Italia on Channel 4 back in the 90's, and as someone said earlier, if Juve don't retain him for at least another season, there will be trouble. He's won us 6pts this season alone with his goals, and without them, we'd be nowhere near that third gold star.
I know absolutely no Italian, so I'm probably pretty stupid going to Rome without the slightest knowledge of the language, but even if I have to walk from the airport to the stadium and back, I'm SEEING THIS GAME UP-CLOSE AND PERSONAL!
Any tips from anyone? Already know how and where to get tickets (a n00b knowing more than some on the forum? Preposterous!
) and how much to expect to be spending with charges on top of the ticket.
Oh, and sorry for the extremely long post. Whoever is going to Turin, have a fantastic time! I'm predicting Atalanta to draw with Milan today, and Juve to beat Lecce, so the title is going to be very close come tonight!
