It's gone now. And since then, shootings have gone up 13%.
Sadly the downside to not having strict gun laws.

In a perfect world, responsible people would be allowed to have guns for hobby purposes (target shooting, hunting, just plain collecting) or protection, while all the crazies & gangbangers couldn't, but unfortunately that is not reality.

Oh it's not that. The laws are the same, just cops cannot stop and frisk people based on just suspicion now. Either way, 90% of gun crimes were committed with a weapon from outside the state.
