if it is a case of deschamps or secco i would support secco. i believe he is very good for juventus. as for a new manager would love to have lippi, he's number one. would not accept capello back though he will be out of a job at real i think whether they win the title or not.
What evidence do you have to indicate that Secco has done anything good for Juventus?

Has Lippi definitely rejoined Juve??? NO. And even if he did, Secco has seriously mishandled the situation...u do not bully and undermine a former Juve great like that...they kept poking DD with a stick untill he had had enough...that is a very dishonorable way of running such an honorable club my friend...we have had enough sleazebags in our recent history...even if Lippi is brought back i want them to replace Secco...

I never called Deschamps a bad coach and I always wanted him to stay.

And you know what? This might be a bit sentimental, but I don't want to see Lippi going down in this mess. The man's a legend as it is, no need to tarnish his image now.
how will he tarnish his image, he is getting the job of a rich successful club which he can build from almost scratch over the summer, he is Juve's best ever coach. Are you saying that joining Juventus is going to ruin him because as you are 'supposed' to be a Juve fan. The man has won everything in football, this is another challenge for him.

Do you mean his image will be tarnished if he comes to juve ???
Juventus isn't about the manaement it's about the players the legend the history the fans... if he comes to juve not because gigli asked him to but because he is a part of the club's history
AND YOU CALL YOUR SELF A JUVE FAN???!!!:disagree:
ahh you could always spot the noobs a mile away...

Scroll down a couple of posts and you will see Seven clarifying that he doesn't want Lippi's image tarnished with poor results, finishing 8th for example. He wants the memory of Lippi to be as beautiful as possible.

Nothing wrong with that, doesn't detract from his love to the club....

Would love Lippi to take Secco's job. But definitely not as coach. Been there, done that. Twice. We needed new leadership at the coaching role when he left us last time. That hasn't changed just because the guy inherited an NT motivated by calciopoli, Pessotino, a lucky call against Australia, and a team that won the WC in spite of his poor coaching showing in yet another big final (and thanks to Zidane's blunder).

It's time to move on.

While I agree he shouldn't return (at least as a coach) you have been too harsh on his achievement last summer. Many Azzurri players spoke of his influence on team.

I am really worried about this. A quality replacement for Deschamps next season may not be that straightforward easy to land. Juve really has no real European play next year, and the many coaches we'd consider for that are all dealing with teams with legitimate chances at league titles and Champions League play.

Then there's Lippi who doesn't have a club or country. And if he did take the position -- mark this post for this time next year:

True. But do you remember the equal and opposite "Capello problem"? Whereas Capello frequently left the team disgruntled with Del Piero on the bench when he was in some of his finest form, in 2003-4 Lippi started Del Piero over and over again even when DP was going through long patches of terrible form and we had a bench stocked with performers.

There were many criticisms in this forum that Lippi was too weak to stand up to players and make decisions that better ensured the victories we weren't getting. He didn't lead them, he babied them.

ya dude that was totally uncalled for, u cant undermine Lippi's unbelievable triumph like that...Azzurri won in spite of all the criticism and -ve publicity that their clubs were facing...and penalties are always a lottery...there is no "Good Coach/Bad Coach" in a shootout

If he is sacked now, I don't know how I'll cheer for such club...
Add me to that.

If it's true, then our retard management was probably going to fire Deschamps. Fuck you Secco and the lot of them.
Also I add my voice to that.

If DD doesnt come back, then so be it.....

HOWEVER, if that screwball CRAPello is put back in charge, then all hell will break loose !!

DP will be out the door faster than you could say "capocannoniere"

Buffon to follow, faster than you could say "Milanista"

Thats what I said yesterday, bringing Crap back would be like throwing something expensive out of your window. Buffon will follow him faster than the light, Nedved same and Camo and of course David.

I think Didier will go on doing his job tomorrow, I don't think he is going to leave at this moment, probably at the end of the season (that's if he will leave). No need to wait for hours, it's just some worthless rumors.
I read that if it's true that he'll resign, he'll continue the matches and then leave.

I love Lippi. That said, he came up as a complete dud of a coach in the final. His subs were terrible. His gameplan was weak. It was Dortmund all over again.

If Italy lost the coin toss that was the PKs of the final, everyone would have a less glorious, rosy view of him than they do now. And as I recall, I don't remember Lippi being out there to shoot or save any penalty kicks.

Still, I stand by the belief that the Italy NT would have never made the semifinals if not for calciopoli.

Lippi would be great
I don`t think I have to tell you how great Lippi is, and at that delicate situation we MUST have someone who can assure us of the highest quality of coaching so we could get our CL spot or even the scudetto and Lippi is perfect for this job! talented and lucky!!!

As I mentioned on 19/5/07 after the Arezzo win:-

There is speculation in Piemonte that if Juventus get their promotion today, Didier Deschamps may resign - job done.

I'm pretty sure that the new coach will be named in the next 28 days. Something tells me that Lippi may take over the reins for a one season stint. Mere specualtion mind..... Nevertheless I think DD is now toast.

If he has resigned - and I'm sure he will take the Olympic Lyonnais job on Monday - the same source in Piemonte tells me that Lippi will be given the role foe one season to 'steady the ship' and take the club forward with world class signings.

I have no doubt personally now that DD was hired to do the promotion job and that was the extent of his appointment.

We can expect an announcement in the next 48 hours concerning a successor. I very much expect Lippi to be in place.
