Wow. That is going to get matched, and the Hurricanes are going to take their time doing it.

Should havbe gone all in at the 10.5 million AAV and given up the 4 1st round picks.

So, this team that had somewhere north of 15 million under the cap today has managed to sign a backup goalie and put out an offer sheet that will take about 17 minutes for Carolina to match. I say 17 minutes, because I am including the Carolina GM's 15 minute cigarette break

You know. If a 21 year old Center who just averaged a PPG l;ast season isn't worth an offer sheet at the 10.5 million AAV, then what the hell is? Why even do this? Because of losing extra draft picks? This farm system is LOADED. The core of the main club is young. What the hell.
