rollie, is this the only thread you visit on the forum? :D
:D Of course not. I spread a little love after the matches in the player section... I used to post more in the others, particularly in the live thread, Wishlist, Marotta, Giovinco :D etc., but I'm finding a lot of them are pretty damn repetitive. Plus, it's prime time!

But when somebody posts in the NHL or NFL thread I generally check it out, because most of the people who post in those threads seem like good lads, who love the games - and it doesn't take as long to check those threads.

yeeeeeeeeeess ! 1-1 in games, interesting stuff!
Yeah buddy, it's going to be a very long series. The kid played well tonight, but your boys got themselves 2 nice gifts, from Zanon and Boychuk. Those soft Dzone plays make me want to break things. I'm not sure how Boston didn't pull this one out.

Still waiting for anything at all from the B's top 6 forwards. 3rd line is doing all the scoring!

cool :D

holtby also gave your goal, it was a very stupid move by him, probably caused by too much self esteem. but other than that i'm surprised how well he is playing. top goalie material, imo.
one thing i noticed is that the caps are making it terribly hard for the bruins to get setup in our zone by drifting through the neutral when the bruins are moving the puck forward. semin is starting to dive into blocks, ovie tracking back - we're on track :D

also backstrom is getting better by the game.

I tuned in a couple of minutes before Backstrom's OT goal, felt it could have gone either way.

Iirc, I think Boston's goal was actually mostly Schultz's fault; puck was semi-blocked, and he hesitated for a second; Pouliot went by him and buried. It's usually a give away that wins it, in playoff hockey. Washington's goals were repugnant though! :D

Zanon and Thomas teamed up on the first one, that was ridiculously UGLY (and against the run of play), and then in OT Boston wins the faceoff, Boychuk fans on his clearance, Boom, Johansson -> Backstrom -> Net. That's the way it goes, though... Can't give the Caps skill guys extra chances.

You're right, Nicky is picking up his game - Ovie did too, actually. I'm a pretty big Nicky Backstrom fan - just not this series. I imagine my keepers for the pool I'm in next year will be Giroux and Backsy... but Seguin is still an option as well. Trying to deal with my bias. HA!

Anyway, fact remains, Boston had the better of both of these games, and hasn't gotten any offense from their top 6. I still like the B's chances.

So true, that's the beauty of team sports. Looking forward to game 3 this afternoon, boys! Going for the Pens today, want this one to be a long series!

the first cap goal was hilarious, but the second was more amazing skill from johansson than a blunder by the bruins d. and i actually think that they were equally good in the last game. caps had some incredible missed sitters aswel. if we can keep locking down the neutral zone, i like our chances.

Amazing skill? :D

It's a good play by Johansson. But it's also a Bruins faceoff win, Ference letting his man go, and Boychuk totally whiffing on the puck and not taking the body. That's unacceptable play in the dzone - hands down. There are multiple mental errors there. From a Bruins coaching perspective (or this fan's)... that's just all ugly by our defense. :D

Crazy game in Philly right now! They definitely should have let Crosby and Giroux go there.

Fleury is shitting the bed, big time.

Holy shit. I don't know what I saw but it wasn't hockey. A crazy first period. 3 players ejected and I don't know how many minor penalties.

Fluery is on planet suck right now. I don't think I've ever seen the guy play this poorly over a stretch of games.

30 goals so far.

Awesome series. Straight up classic.

I hope Asham and Crosby die.
Asham was straight trash, but Crosby didn't do anything wrong, other than have a bad game. He even let Schenn out of a fight at the end there. That was classy.

Philly are making it look easy. Pittsburgh just giving the series to them.

Crosby just played cheap.throughout the game. Especially at the end with Hartnell. He didn't even play most of the time.
