Either one. It was joke referring to the fact that many Caps fans are disgruntled Redskins castoffs that don't know Ovechkin isn't always on the ice.

True. But they don't have much to be happy about in DC, apart from all the rent seeking profits they engage in.

Those are basically suburbs though, aren't they? At least I consider my neck of the woods a distant suburb of DC. Several families in my hood commute to DC daily.

Caps fans don't have any excuses, though. They should know hockey after the Bondra and Oates era, and then the Jagr era. Lots of hype surrounded those teams.

Now wouldn't it be ironic if the Wings knocked off the Yotes and sent them packing to Winnepeg 15 years after the Wings knocked off the Jets in 1995-96 and sent them packing to Phoenix?

They are suburbs of the city. That much is true. Doesn't take away from the fact they know zilch about the game. My buddy got hassled the other day for wearing a Jets throwback shirt.

I remember one conversation I had with a female Caps fan about how she was so glad the Caps never had Sergei Gonchar on their team.:sergio:

I think this is going to be a short series... Detroit has a ton of class, and if the Coyotes go down 2-0, you know it's going to be real hard for the players to focus; I'm sure it already is, but the closer they get, the more difficult it'll probably be..

I know it's not a sexy locale, but people in Winnipeg love their hockey. They've got a building, and the Phoenix Coyotes are their franchise. Send 'em home.

That would be fantastic. Phoenix should have never had a team. The wet dreams of Gary Bettman are crashing down upon him.
