I actually missed this game - my sister is in town for a conference, we were hanging out - so I can't comment on the game. I did watch the replays, I don't have time at the moment but I'll comment on the hit later.
Just wanted to say that it's really too bad that the player has sustained such severe injuries and hopefully he'll have a full recovery.

This doesn't make any sense. Sergio's picture post on the prior page proves that this isn't the case. Looking at the video again, he had his arm up and corralled his head into the side of the barrier. There's a lot of intent there. When I was playing I wouldn't throw my arms up in the face of another player unless I wanted to bash his head into the boards, and that really looks like what Chara did. Perhaps he didn't mean to kill him, but he certainly wanted to fuck him up.
Oh, so that makes everything OK now, doesn't it.
I guess if Datsyuk beheads that mongoloid Steve Ott next week, he only deserves game misconduct, too.

There was a history between both players and the guy comes out and says he didn't know it was Pacioretty he ram in the turnbuckle. 
about the police thing. Basically the fans who did this are called pussies and shit. I personally would have dealt it on the ice the next game but we don't have the tools for that unless we want one of our players suspended 20+ games. I say call up the "goons" from Hamilton.
In his 1st game back after the incident, Boston fans gave Chara a standing O and chanted his name at the start of the game. C*nts!
Bettman said he was 1000% for the decision and if some sponsors want to leave then he'll just find new ones. ASSHOLE!
