I was thinking about Eberle and Paajarvi for my pool but decided to go safe. bah, I guess somebody else needs to win or it'll be boring. :numnum:

About tonight's game. Don't forget me with the PK bandwagon. :sigh:

Price was good. Spacek and Season Gill were cack. O'Byrne and Picard are AHL quality. Pleks was good. Expect more form Pouliot and Kostitsyn. Eller's got potential. Nice to see the new guys score. Long season, not gonna be easy.

TSN puts us out of the series in 9th place. :sigh:
:D

How could we ever forget that you're on the PK bandwagon, buddy?

Hal Gill is a liability (never been a fan), and I still don't understand the Spacek signing. Not a fan of Kostitsyn. Carey Price was solid.

I think that TSN has you in approximately the right spot... could be a playoff team, could be just outside... definitely in that bubble range. I honestly think it comes down to your goaltending.

Three fights so far in the Calgary/Edmonton game, with over a period to go. Love to see the passion on display. Khabibulin is playing really well, Hall's having a good debut. Serious speed on this Edmonton team... I find myself kind of cheering for them, even though I have Kipper in my hockey pool. Speaking of Kipper, there's another nice save...

Destruction mode for Calgary in Edmonton.

Really impressed with what I've seen from the Oilers, but the Flamers really look poor all around.

The Flames dominated the 2nd, but it's the same old story for Calgary.

They can't score to save their lives. Khabibulin deserves some credit for that tonight, but it's been a problem for far, far too long.

They certainly didn't make very strong moves in the offseason (IMO). In fairness, they've also got quite a few injuries. I don't think they're a playoff team.

    Oh wow. Eberle again.

Getzlaugh is a fucking clown. Keep racking up penalties, maggot.

Good first period. Modano's line has been the best so far, but they need to shoot more.

Solid second period, we aren't giving them much. But then again the Ducks are a one-line team, so since we have a better first line than them, we should shut them down. I like what I'm seeing with Hank and Pavs back together again from the start. Jimmy Howard is also playing quite well. It probably wasn't a goal for Cleary as it appeared he knocked off the moorings, but whatever... it's not a crucial call.
