Got a little info on the Sudden ordeal for you all here, so I'll summarise:
Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reports that Sudden has to everyone's surprise turned down a ca $10 million offer from Vancouver.
"I want to thank all the clubs that have shown such interest in my services. The many offers that I've received are impressive and no doubt that any would give me a unique possibility to end my carrier in a fantastic hockey-milieu....
I spent a lot of time thinking over all the [offers I received] from the clubs and the possibilities they were offering me. Unfortunately, I am not even close to making a decision whether I am going to continue to [play] with this team. I wish all the clubs that sent offers to me good luck and thanks for the interest."
As time goes by the possibility that he'll stay in Toronto grow. However, Sundin is apparently not in the same hurry the teams are as they want to wrap things up and get their teams ready for the season...Nobody knows if Suddens inner wish is to end his carrier with the team he has become a legend in in the same class as Börje Salming.
Salming chose to end his career by playing a season with Detroit Red Wings, where he was offered twice as much in pay than with the Maple Leafs.
"But I can't stop thinking that it would have been a lot nicer to end the career in Toronto." Salming said to Aftonbladet last winter.
