First off, I would like to say I respect the Pens fans at the Mellon Arena for staying around and watching our Cup celebrations with minimal booing. That was pure class; I was even surprised by the fact they even stayed... and some clapped... that was very nice of them. The Pens played a great series, worked our asses off, and deserves respect, as do their fans. Thank you guys for a great series. I'm sure you'll have many more of these in the years to come because you're just too good and young to not have some great teams.
Thank you to my boys. I LOVE YOU GUYS. Fantastic year, fantastic fight, determination I haven't seen in a long time. My Red Wings are the epitome of hard working skill, which is what it takes to win the Stanley Cup, just like what the Pens have. Osgood was a hero, and perhaps deserved the Con Smythe, but that doesn't matter. ALL OUR BOYS DID WELL!
Amazing night for my boys and for the city of Detroit who is always beaten down like it's the same city as fucking Baghdad. I love it when our sports teams do well because this city never gains any respect whatsoever... so we stick it to them in some of our favorite pastimes. Screw you media and screw you Bettman who would have rather had the Pens win the series. I LOVE MY TEAM!
Pens fans, you guys were great, and you'll get much better within the next few years, which is saying something.
THE DETROIT RED WINGS.
