I can't use this glossy magazine. The newspaper is all the way downstairs. Perhaps a wet washcloth. NO! I've got it!

That's the one thing we're lacking. Good solid hitters. Basically Detroit and Pittsburgh are even as far as talent goes but Detroit has far more experience and more hitters than we do. Detroit will just continue to put two on Sid the Kid and hammer Malkin til he's black and blue. Those two will have to get tough in Pittsburgh to stay in the series.
You guys will do well at home. Believe me. You will score on us in the next game whether I like it or not. Winning is another matter though.
Well, talent? I mean, we have a fourth line that consists of players such as Hudler and Helm. The former is like a little version of Datysuk who is one of our top point gainers through the whole playoffs. Personally, and I'm not going to be biased about this, I think we have more talent player for player. But you guys have more talent in terms of big star players. Crosby, Malkin, Hossa, Sykora, Staal, etc. Those guys are pretty good.
But then again they can't get it going. It isn't as easy as "putting two on your best guys." In reality, the Pens have not played a team as skilled as us in defending, as even our number one line in Datysuk and Zetterberg are the BEST defensive line in hockey due to how they can steal pucks and check. They can do it all, something no other line in the East can do.

I said the two big differences between the two teams were experience and hitting or let me rephrase, physicality. It's as simple as that. Detroit have a team that has one three cups since 97' or so and Pittsburgh have a squad that is playing with the big boys for the first time. And it is as simple as putting two on Crosby or Malkin and/or getting physical every time they touch the puck. The very fact that Detroit does have one of the best defensive lines in the NHL means that they are able to concentrate on stopping our better players. Where in earlier contests, most teams really could only lend one guy and maybe two to guard Sid. And when that happens, Sid owns.
But we still cannot send too many players on Crosby and expect to do well because... he also has Hossa and Malone on his line! It takes more than just doubling up on players to thwart Pittsburgh's two top lines, Enron. It's just overall great fucking play at both ends of the ice.

Oh yeah, that's it. Like we elbowed Fleury, punched someone who just came back from a concussion in the jaw, and speared someone who is 36 years old just because his team was winning.

Osgood really embelished minimal contact by Malone, who was given a goaltender interference penalty. Every goalie does that, but that bugs me a lot.
As much as I hate the Pens, I hope Pittsburgh can do something to make this a series. Maybe the asthmatic 40-year-old thug Gary Roberts will pull off some magic?

Crosby is going to be a true great in the sport, you can't deny that. Whether you want to agree with me or not, what ever.
As for the "dirty" play, it's hockey sweet pea. I never thought we would win the series unless something really crazy happened like I don't the entire first two lines of the Red Wings got the flue or cyph or something. But I don't expect the Pens to just pack up and go home because they are outmatched. In order to get back into a game, sometimes it takes sending a message. You of all people should understand that. Perhaps it didn't work, but I'm all for roughing Detroit up. Maybe not elbowing the goalkeeper, but a couple of fights or message sending checks may be what the team needs to get fired up. As for the guy with the concussion getting punched in the head, he probably wouldn't be out there if he wasn't ok to take part in all aspects of the sport.
It is after all the Stanley Cup, I would be disappointed if the Penguins just said "Thanks for letting up play guys" and handed Detroit the Cup. So quit crying Andy, you're team are up 2-0. Enjoy it.
