Yeah, that is a sick goal. I'll make an attempt to top it though ;)

Here's a legendary one from Sundin:

And one from Forsberg:

They are both from the same game. Against Finland in the 96 World Cup.

I remember that like it was yesterday :touched:
Yeah, me too. :agree:

The sick thing is, those two had already been our star players for a good 4-5 years already then and they are still here 12 years later (well Forsberg is injured but still) and are up there with the best. Absolute legends that will leave a tremendous gap to fill for the likes of Z and Bäckström when they quit.

What the hell happened to Detroit? They were owning the Kings and then I go off to watch Lost; come back and they've lost 5-3

Oh, and sorry for your loss too Mark :p

It was just a total breakdown defensively. But we were on an eight game winning streak, so we were bound to lose and be brought back down to earth some time. There is still room for improvement in our side.

By the way, Darren McCarty might be called up if he continues playing well for the farm club. Legend. :touched:

    :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Oh man, I love seeing that douche Lemieux get fucked up like that.

McCarty, Draper, Maltby, Lapointe, Larionov, Vernon, Konstantinov. The glory days. :touched:

Detroit vs. Toronto tomorrow night, guys. Hockey Night in Canada too, so it'll be the perfect stage for these Leafs to officially wave the white flag on the season. I predict a 6-2 scoreline in favour of them Wings.

Habs lost 4-2 to the Leafs last night...I have to mention it just to piss off Mark. :D

Now, why the f*** isn't this game on any channel here? Toronto vs. Detroit? No coverage on NBC or Versus? F*** you goddamn f****ts.

The game is on now, it started at 2:00 PM. I'm pissed because I gotta go write a chem midterm right now and I really wanted to watch this. I think you might be able to stream CBC.

And do we have a f***ing blocker now or is that just you?

    EDIT: It's just you.

Ah! Toronto won 3-2 in OT...I'm a bit pissed because if this continues, the Leafs won't get their #1 pick. I want Stamkos as a Leaf so bad, man.

What a boring game. None of the sides were getting anything going at all!

    Congrats on the win anyway.

What's the talk about Sundin now playing there next year?

Thanks, but I don't want the win. This organization is confused...they've dug themselves a hole for the last three years (signing mediocre players to huge contracts with no-trade clauses and can't get rid of now) and the only real solution is pulling a Pittsburgh (this is why I don't like Penguins) and strategically bombing out two seasons in a row to get two phenomenal players (like they did for Crosby and Malkin). However, the Leafs would rather play like shit for four months, and once they find themselves at the bottom of the conference, they'll start pushing for a playoff spot and just miss out.

They really let down the fans, who pay these astronomical prices for these tickets (the standing terrace tickets are $60 CAD, and they're high up in the third level). For a team with such a hockey history, it's really sad. I remember when I went to Maple Leaf Gardens, where they'd have these statues and pictures all over the arena, and my dad would explain all of these things to me. Now, if I'm fortunate to have children, what do I tell them? Do I say that the organization had a lot of money so teachers can have a nice pension when they retire (Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan is a majority owner and partially the reason for neglect)? Do I show them the housing complexes that Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment has invested in rather than the pictures of legends I grew up with hoisting the Stanley Cup in a Leaf jersey? When they ask when the Leafs last won the Stanley Cup, do I tell them that it was when their grandfather was 12? It's all quite embarrassing...

I don't know what Sundin's going to do...I just hope he doesn't waste his time in Toronto anymore.
