I don't care about Higgins so much. On the surface, Gomez is the better player, but why oh why do you include Mcdonagh?????
Agreed, although Higgins seems like a good character, a decent point producer, and that salary of his represents excellent value.

Gomez could end up rebounding and being a very solid contributor - at this point, with the guys you have under contract, he would probably be your top scorer.

7.3M/per though? That is an absolutely ridiculous number. Who would you choose, Heatley at about 7.5, or Gomez? Because with that package, you could have most likely had Heatley at roughly the same numbers...

The rags we're desperate with the cap situation and any other team could of had Gomez for a draft pick. INCREDIBLE!

Here's to another drought of 15 years like the last time after the Roy deal.

What a move by Glen Sather. Now he needs to find a sucker willing to take that Redden contract.

NY could almost do nothing else this offseason, and still consider it fairly successful.
