3rd loss in a row. 1st of the season. Weren't luck. F*ck the Flyers. Refs missed a couple of calls that could of changed the game. Pacioretty was our best player. Keep it up kid.

Starting with C's, Richards would be a nice pick-up but I'd prefer a bigger guy. Still he'd be our best center in the team. Great 2-way player and excellent on the powerplay.

Connolly is a very good center but always injured. Don't think Buffalo would trade him to us.

Laich would be a good trade. Would be size to our center line.

We don't need 3rd or 4th line centers.

For wingers, I'm pretty sure Washington will keep Semin. Would love to get him though.

Gagne is done. Too many concussions. Cole is done too.

Frolov is another Kostitsyn. Plays when he wants. I'll pass.

Brunette is old but still make points. Not a necessity here.

Moulsen and Jokinen would be nice pick-ups for teams needing a LW.

If you need a shit disturber then Ruutu of Ottawa is the guy.

Kovalev is a coach killer. You don't want that. Plays when he wants but when he does he's great.

Hejduk, Langenbrunner and Knuble are ok. Temmu will probably retire.

With D's I'd like Jovo. I think he still got some in the tank.

Kaberle would be sweet but has a no trade clause.

Greene will probably stay in NJ.

Bieksa would be nice.

Goalies, we could use a better backup than Auld but Price will probably play 70 games so if Auld f*cks up we have Sanford in Hamilton.

BUF would 100% trade Connolly to anyone. He's shit in the lockerroom and floats on the ice.

But it's useless looking at Cs with Plekanec, Gomez, Eller. Gomez is such a killer.

You can forget Kaberle. Imagine the reaction Burke would receive if he sets up Boston for life with Seguin, top 5 pick and then gives Montreal Kaberle? He won't, he can't do it.

I heard alot of Bieksa to Montreal rumours. He's a solid #3-4 who's right handed so I'd take him.

I like Pacioretty on the 2nd line wing. I also wouldn't mind Dustin Penner there.

We're struggling to keep the pace with the Blackhawks in the Chi. Very fast game, but we look a bit tired.

Idiot hawks fans and their annoying song.

Taylor Hall is doing OK, better than Boston's Seguin. Florida's pick in the third spot is nowhere to be found, but he is a defenseman.

The rookie of the year will probably be Logan Couture for the Sharks. He has something like 12 goals in 24 games. Really an incredible start.
Seguin has been alright - pretty decent most nights, but he plays very limited minutes 11(ish) and Julien's a hardass for dzone coverage. He's also played with mediocre players most of the time, although he's been shifted out to the wing to play with Savvy, since his return. Seguin's development won't be as quick as Hall's (he's also a year behind Hall in terms of minor league experience), but the skillset looks outstanding.

Logan Couture is clearly the guy Boston should have drafted at #7, back in 2007. I don't think Hamill will ever be a consistent NHL player... has the look of a minor leaguer. He's still young, but Boston is very deep at center...

I think Malkin will be traded. If not this year then next season.
Trading Malkin would likely be a mistake. Depends on the package, obviously. The guy has had a lot of little nagging injuries the past couple of seasons that he plays through, he never quite seems healthy, and he's had trouble putting together a consistent run of form. I do think it's legitimate to question his effort some nights. It really doesn't help that he's had rotating linemates who are consistently mediocre (most nights).

Important to be patient with the guy, and when Stall returns try playing those two together (like they had intended to do before the season started). I get the feeling the results will be very solid.

so would you use the money we get on malkin (if we sell) to get a tough d, aaron? i would prefer an exchange with another center
It would be interesting to see what kind of a package the Pens could get for a what, 23-24 years old former Art Ross winner. Probably prohibitive in most cases... not to mention the fact that Malkin only has 2 years left on his deal if memory serves... so a new mega-deal would almost surely need to happen concurrent to the trade.

Are you fucking kidding me, Andy? I'm sure they were singing praises before when they were off to a good start. He's a joke and so is the rest of this team. They've thrown away their future and there's nothing good to say about the Leafs. Their fucking name is grammatically incorrect. What a fuck-up of a team. I deeply regret being insensitive to the wreak of mediocrity when I was younger.

-13 back at home! Can't wait until next Wednesday!

Komo with 2 fights. Surprised he didn't injure his shoulder again.
Well he wasn't fighting Lucic this time... :juventus:

    You said it...

Pfft... wasn't a big fan of this game. Congrats on the win, but the game was a little bit conditioned by the referees in my opinion. The penalty shot to open the scoring 2-3 minutes in, was literally the weakest call for a penalty shot I can remember ever seeing. You're not allowed to try and lift a guys stick now?

Also didn't like the Campbell penalty on the back end of that Subban hit on Marchand (which was a perfectly legal hit, obviously). PK facewashes/ slightly slew foots Campbell when he approaches him (which I don't really have a problem with), but then Campbell gets a penalty for what, grabbing Subban's jersey with his glove on? Montreal scores off the back of that, and Boston could never quite catch up (didn't help that they were on the 2nd night of a back to back).

I did enjoy the Krejci v. Cammalleri fight though. Gotta love the HNIC proHab announcers calling Krejci a 'tough guy' like 3-4 times. Yeah, our first line center who's fighting for the first time ever is a real 'tough guy.' :sergio:

Oh my God, Giguere makes $6 million?
I think he's definitely worth it, when you consider that somehow, someway, Burke was able to unload BOTH Jason Blake, and Vesa Toskala in that deal. ;)

New Years Day is the outdoor game, yea? That should be good.

I probably won't watch it, however, as our bowl game coincides and I might not be recovered from the Red Wings game and other festivities from the Eve.
