I don't know if Appiah has the passing range as Tiago does. I think we need someone who can be a deep lying playmaker, like a Xavi. Maybe Maresca???????????
Absolutely. With Maresca we would need another guy in midfield to only defend. Tacchi, Tudor, Blasi, Perrotta, C.Zanetti... players like that.

I hope Totti sees red. I hope Cassano, while kicking a corner flag, somehow breaks his leg!

    I don't think so

The Rome derby is called off due to crowd trouble after false claims a fan was killed by a police van. It was 0-0 at half-time, Totti and Fiore hit the woodwork.

It is currently unclear whether or not the match will be replayed, but after a long conversation with the Federation it became clear it could not go ahead for public safety fears.

Appiah-Tiago midfield duo would be great.
Great? Ummm...I'm not sure why you think that, but to me that's a midfield pairing that has pace, which is good, but they haven't anything else special. Appiah has been complete crap for most of this year, and Tiago is no world-beater himself. Besides, I doubt that we'll be buying in central midfield, we've got Appiah, Tacch, Conte, Maresca, Blasi, and Brighi. That's actually the position that we've got the most depth in.

N, I mean the Tiago from Benfica, not Tiago Motta of Barca. Tiago Mendes from Benfica is one of the most highly rated midfielders in the game today. He could finally be our replacement for Deschamps.
I know who you mean, but Motta would cost us nothing!

I don't see anything special about Motta and Gabri and they don't fit in the squad. We have already good players in these positions.
