Also, I am not one of these people who doesn't want to sign anyone just because they would compete with Giovinco, but one has to wonder what the long term plans for Giovinco are when reading these reports.

Giovinco/Cassano to battle it out to replace Del Piero, or a change of system once Nedved, Del Piero and Ranieri are gone?

Giovinco and Cassano can coexist just as Del Piero and Giovinco can.

I think we could have signed Cassano the moment we came back to A but we decided not to. We needed to stabilize the squad before bringing more rage into it. Now that we are a stable unit a player like Cassano would not be able to cause trouble, on the other hand he will continue to mature.
Agreed.

I still think he's one of the most talented players(not to sound harsh)ever.

His technique is amazing, vision and everything.I remember how great he was while playing for Roma.It was incredible how he played with Totti.I always wanted him here but seeing how he acted really disappointed me.

Not to sound ridicilous,I think he could be a perfect replacement for Del Piero.I know he's not that young but he's exactly what we need in this team.

If he's really mature now I'd welcome him with open arms and legs.

Can't agree with this.He would have acted the same way he did in Roma.

It's not just a good manager but it's his brain as well.
Torino and the club Juventus are a much better enviroment for one such as he.
He could have found he's place of destiny here. Carlo and those that followed would have looked after him.

He does not score much though. He's brilliant and all, but he's not the most effective player out there.
It's his role I think.

He's doesn't have the same role he had in Roma where he was based in front of Totti and running up front more often. Now he plays on a bit behind from left to right using his vision more ala Pirlo from few years ago and technique similar to Del Piero's.Like something he played yesterday against us.It still doesn't remove the fact that he destroyed Legro.

We can easily play like this

Cassano Amauri Camoranesi
Giovinco
Sissoko Marchisio
Left Back Chiellini Center Back Right Back
Buffon

Oh I agree, it's just something that we have to consider if we want him. What role would he play?
Something like Del Piero I guess. That style but he'd cover more...something like Amauri. It may sound weird but it's just how I think would be perfect.

With his role while playing next to Amauri would make all defenders shit in their pants...I bet.

Surely that would really be 4-2-3-1?

The beahviour yesterday was a bit more than that or at least it feels like it.
He is always like that: he is a nice fellow, and I can't believe in anything our board tries to manipulate.

I, really, do hope he is on his way.

Then a right winger (Ribery) and a striker (Villa).

I worry about the defence later.
