First of all, that’s just butthurt people hearing things, he never said chink.

Second of all, that’s supposed to show what a monster Embiid is
Yeah I know it's supposed to show that, just funny because JJ is an inexistent defender.

And yeah it's not about hearing things, he said that in the promotional clip for Chinese new years. Quite dumb thing to let slip, even worse is the editors who didn't deal with it before distributing the clip.

:agree: only if Simmons doesn’t surpass him
He just needs to be healthy and stop chucking that many 3s to reach his potential, he is 20 procentile at it, needs to focus on other efficient uses for his monstrous ability.

:D

Idk man, I really didn’t get the chink sound. His explanation makes more sense. It’s not like he’s Mark Wahlberg or anything, I don’t see why he’d just pop that out like that.

I didn't hear his explanation, just saw it on YouTube on recommended clip lol. Don't think he is racist, but just ignorant /confused let it slip /tongue tied in PR greeting, the whole sentence barely made sense or was bit redundant "I want to wish all the nba chink fans of China happy new years", bitch just say happy new years like all the other players did

Foot in mouth disease for the league in what's essentially its biggiest market.

nope. Embiid is superior, there are several other talents between him and Simmons. Giannis, Porzingis and AD most notable
Towns > Porzingis.

Also AD is not a talent, he is a legit top 5/10 superstar. Embiid has to reach his level first and not the reverse.

its close but id take healthy Porzingins over Towns (there are more between Embiid and Simmons, but didnt think it was necessary to make a longer list for my point). i put AD (Giannis too btw, legit MVP candidate already and tons of room to grow) there because he belongs in the same age group. but i think Embiid has more upside even if AD is currently better, provided he can stay healthy fo several seasons

one thing that makes me really happy is how many bigs there are among the top young players in the league, been a while since that was the case

I don’t mind his threes, he can only get better at them.

:agree: Embiid definitely has the highest ceiling. A lot of young talent, the league will be stacked for a while.

@King of Kings @zizinho

Good read about Brandon Ingraham's hometown.

@Osman too. Just a cool article in general about a small town that has produced a lot of NBA talent.
Yeah, I had read that. Impressive list.

However, for my money, and I'm not sure that anyone around here but me will remember this. But for my money, the best hotbed of talent in any one era was the Dunbar High School era in Baltimore of the early to mid 80's.
