Draymond Green said he doesn't have enough information to decide whether the earth is flat or round. Said NASA might doctor photos to make earth look round, because he can take panoramic photos with his phone that make things look round. :lol2:
Lol Draymond described the exact opposite thing that the panorama feature does. He's trying to help his bro out but just say you don't care what he thinks, don't say retarded shit like that.

Why do people believe the Earth is round anyways?

There are more and more NFL players backing up Kyrie on his flat earth bullshit. Jesus Christ, that's ridiculous. No wonder Trump is our president.

Some guy named Mike Adamle says there is discussion going on between Lakers and Bulls for a trade for Jimmy Butler. Ingram is not involved (who was the main reason Lakers couldnt get Cousins) but Lou Williams, Jordan Clarkson and Julius Randle, as well as Michael Carter-Williams have been talked about.

Hopefully this is true, except for the Randle part. Russell at PG with Butler and Ingram on the wings looks great, we would just need a center then (Noel :tuttosport:), assuming Randle stays ofcourse, and a better bench and we are set

Or better yet, how about they don't do this and continue to tank for the rest of the season? That would be much better, considering that if we lose our 2017 draft pick this year, then we also lose our 2019 draft pick to the Magic.

If we are in the top 3, we keep both, the '18 draft pick goes to Philly unprotected, and the Magic instead get 2 2nd round picks.

This team is not a Jimmy Butler away from being a playoff contender. Nowhere close.

Trade Lou Williams, Trade Nick Young. Get young players or picks.

Do you think Butler improves us by so much that it will threaten our ranking? If the trade goes through, and lets say we give Lou and Clarkson and keep Randle, thats still almost 33 ppg of bench scoring wed be losing. Williams is our top scorer this season too. I think we will manage not to win more than 10 games of the last 24 so I wouldnt worry about losing the pick if we got Butler.

And I agree that Jimmy Butler doesent make us a playoff team, it will take more than that. But the guy last few seasons was only getting better, is averaging 25ppg and plays defense. Hes an opportunity that if we dont pick up, someone else will and we will have the same talk next year around this time about another star. I say take him (dont give them Randle though) and still tank the rest of the season so we keep those picks. In summer get rid of Young, find a center, and try to give away Mozgov and Deng, if someone is stupid to take their 4 year contracts

Butler will give us enough wins to keep us out of the Top 3, which means that the rebuilding project will take a hit, with losing those 2 draft picks. He will be 28 years old by the end of the season, so we could very well waste his prime years before we are ready to make the playoffs. And it is not as if we have this massive cushion between us and the 4th and 5th lowest ranked teams. We have maybe, a couple of games ?

We can't get rid of Young in the summer. He's a free agent. And no one is going to take Mozgov and Deng's contract.

For the record, I am very glad that they didn't make that Cousins trade. From what I understand, not only were they looking for Ingram, but they wanted Zubac and Nance as well in the deal. No thank you.

I dont think Butler by himself would give us much improvement currently, especially not when losing your top scorer and another guy whos your top5 scorer, its not like we arent losing something in return. 1st, hed join in the middle of the season, or to say it better, towards the end of it. And hes not joining a good team either. The situation hed be coming into is not one where you could say, OK we have a well functioning system here and this guy would fit right in, and he will click with the team right away. No, we are still building something, the team is a mess kinda, and Butler wouldnt make an Impact right away imo. Another thing is, and the reason id love to habe him, its easier to attract good free agents with a star player in your team. I love our young core and having that as leverage when going for a free agent is good, having that AND Butler is a much better situation a top free agent is looking at, so it increases our chances to build a contender team in the coming years. If we pull this trade and manage to keep our picks, that would be another masterstroke

Im glad Young is a free agent, I watched him wear this shirt long enough. I also know it will be impossible to get rid of Deng and Mozgov, whoever gave them 4 year contracts should quit basketball forever, but there is always hope. Like there are people who gave them 4 year contracts, maybe there are some others who would also take them on such terms.

Also, Divac can suck it. Love that he got nothing basically after asking so much from us last few years

The only two players who the lakers should seriously consider trading are Williams and Young

- - - Updated - - -

In fact those 2 should definitely be traded.

If you knew before that we would keep the protected pick no matter what we do, and you get an offer of Butler for Clarkson+Williams, would you do it?

If its something like Randle+Clarkson+Williams for Butler and Carter-Williams then thats another story, I wouldnt want to do that

Yes, I would do that, but these are mutually exclusive. You are adding a top 25 player to a roster that is only a couple of games out from losing 2 1st round picks in the next 3 years. Regardless of losing Williams and Clarkson. Neither one of those are on Butler's level, and the subsequent level of play of everyone else around him will be better. The problem, as stated before, is that there isn't enough improvement in this squad to have them knocking on the door of the playoffs, and there isn't enough talent on the roster to simply forego those two draft picks.

It's the lack of first round picks that have kind of put the Lakers in this mess.

Then we only disagree about how much of an Impact Butler would have right away. Dont know, maybe im wrong, but I cant see this team winning more than 8-9 games of the remaining 24, even with Butler, and hes a risk Id be willing to take

Some other guy from ESPN mentioned Utah being interested in Lou now, Lakers want 1st round picks to deal him. Now this is something you definitely like

But winning 8 or 9 more games may be enough to put them out of contention for a Top 3 pick. Especially in this draft, where there is a younger, more athletic Jimmy Butler clone out there in Josh Jackson. This upcoming draft could literally shape the direction of this team. I would do nothing to risk it. Nothing at all.

8-9 is is my "worst case scenario", in case the team click right away, but I can see us going on a losing streak the 1st few games until Butler finds chemistry. Regardless, I find it hard to believe we will get him. Boston looks like to have more to offer than we do

Boston isn't giving up Brooklyn's 1st round pick for Butler or anyone else. And this is Boston we are talking about, who are probably one of the top 5 or 6 most talented teams in the league. That gives you an idea of how strong this draft is. This isn't last year, where it was basically a 2 horse race. This draft is legitimately 9 or 10 deep.

Like every year last few years, I only start paying attention to these draft prospects around April-May so I have no idea about any of the players. Who do you think will go top3 and who do you think we will go for if we have a top3 pick?

Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball, and Josh Jackson, in that order, are my Top 3 players. If we get into the Top 2, I would love to see us get Lonzo Ball, and move Russell to a Shooting Guard. Markelle Fultz will go #1 overall, and if he goes to Boston.......................... Jesus Christ. Think James Harden. For Lonzo Ball, think Jason Kidd

Is Josh Jackson a 2-3 like Butler? If we dont do this trade for Butler now, it would mean we keep Clarkson, so we could have Jackson starting at 2 and Clarkson as the 6th man. Getting a Jason Kidd type of player sounds tempting too, Ball-Russell + Clarkson off the bench.

Just have another question. If we finish among the 3 worst teams, do we keep our pick or do we need to wait for the lottery and see if we get a top3 pick?

We will have to wait for the lottery to see if we keep the pick. But obviously, the worse the record, the better the chances.
