1- It's not about money, it's about true transcendence. Being the leader of the Lakers, and winning championships as a Laker allows that to happen
2- Kyrie is fantastic. Certainly better than anything that the Lakers have right now. But let's not forget that with the cap space available, the Lakers can easily offer a max contract to an additional player, and offer a 15-18 million dollar contract to a 3rd player. Something that the Cavaliers cannot do, and with that douche of an owner they have, he will absolutely not go into luxury tax territory to go over the cap. Also, aside from Irving, who do they have as far as younger players are concerned? Tristan Thompson is solid, but has no offense whatsoever.
3- You think that Lebron doesn't like a challenge? He lives for challenges. He's also fearless.
4- CP3 will be 33, and Melo 34 by then. Who is going to sign both of them and a 34 year old Lebron James? This is a young man's game

Like I said, for the 50th time, I don't think it is going to happen.
But don't for a second, think that L.A. is not one of tghe most desirable destinations for a free agent for both quality of life, and now for basketball purposes as well.
