Top 3 no surprises. Knueppel's stock rose a lot in the past few weeks and Hornets seemed to bite. Ace Bailey seemed genuinely shocked that Utah ignored all of his shenanigans and picked him anyway, lmao. Demin is the surprise for me, he was never in contention for 8th. I think Coward will be a steal at 11. Spurs did well to get the obvious Harper choice but also Carter Bryant.

I don't know much about Walter Clayton Jr but he's an older guy and they can't always draft 18 year olds. He seems like a good culture guy who will probably take the Jordan Clarkson role as scoring combo guard 6th man.

Jase Richardson at 24 could be a steal. I'm not sure about Brooklyn's picks in general but with 5 at least a couple have to hit.

Ace was trying to be a dick so teams would go off him and one of the East coast teams further down like Brooklyn would have picked him up, but Ainge wanted him and didn't give a shit.

Watching his interviews he seems as dumb as a rock, but he has a very high ceiling and elite athleticism, he'll join a young core and get to shoot all the rubbish shots he wants, so it's a better move than he realises at this point.

Demin is a great passer and is a massive guard that teams love, but he needs to develop a shot and some defense out of somewhere.

Lololol just realized they still have doc as a coach. No point in contending for a title until they fix that

I kind of hoped Utah could have traded for Dame, clear out the vets and cap space, school the young guards for a year whilst he recovers and then let him go elsewhere. Instead Austin Ainge seems to be clearing house for little in return and making the roster all kids. Tank pt 3 I guess.

Ayton is a big man, I suppose. That's about it. He'll score some points, get some rebounds. Apparently turns up late for training and can be a bit toxic. We'll see how that goes...

Edit: Wishing Jordan Clarkson all the best, even if he is going to the Knicks. Great guy and character. Was very random and annoyingly streaky in his latter seasons but easy to forget he was a 6th Man winner and can still put up 25 points whenever he chooses. Collin Sexton too. Young Bull was one of my favourite players, great heart, electric style, and example for the younguns. He deserves a move to a team that at least wants to play a guy who will score 20ppg if he's a starter.

Its a nothing burger. They just aligning already made trades in draft night.

Its mainly Suns getting most pieces, rest are just ticinomics financial maneuvering of 2nd round picks and G league depth level players.

Some organic talking gonna happen next year, don't need to force.

Happy for Collins as he was great until he was nerfed, he deserves a contender. He was 50/40/90. We'll probably dump those two players or trade KA for a 2nd.

Ainge and Jazz keep on good vets too lon (hurts the tank)until they dump them for nothing lol Poor asset management.

They paid a 2nd to give away Sexton and got a worse player in Nurkic.

And now they giving away 20-10 type PF like Collins after hoarding him for 2 years, as expiring for doodoo platter like almost retired useless pieces like Kevin Kevin Love and Slowmo.

Heat got a steal getting Powell, who was nearly all star level last season, for Love and Slowmo and a 2nd rounder.

And I get why Clippers gave away the expiring Powell despite high production, because he is 32 and will ask for ALOT his next contract. Heat lack talent so they fine with that probably.

Clippers get Collins who adds more size and similar scoring production. Smart to get bigger (Brook Lopez and Collins added to Zubac), when everyone wants twin bigs lately. Slide down Kawhi to SF and Jones to SG.

And my guess is after Bradley Beal gets bought out, he signs for Clippers to get Powells role. If that happens, giving up Powell and getting Collins and Beal is good asset management.

Same mistake made with Lauri tbh, delayed a real tank too long. At his peak they could have got multiple good picks for him, but tank hurt him in different ways so now he's worth much less. Better late than never...the 2026 draft is too tempting to not prolong it though for one more year.

Difference is it's not Danny "I must win every trade, even if it's to the detriment of team goal" Ainge calling the shots now, it's his son, Austin. He's clearing house.

Heat did great in this trade, but I think the Clippers did too

Was thinking who is the stoner next to love lol, he doesn't look like a big.

Man Ainge must be tearing his hair out he missed out on Cooper flagg lol

I dont envision Kessler has long time left with them. Ainge jr won't prolly resign him on the rookie extension Kessler wants. So guessing trade bait next summer. For Markannen it's already too late, they gave him too much money and sat him too much, his trade value is diminished.

The "Utah is white" joke is really boring tbh, it comes up every time they swap a black guy for a white guy. People swear by it as well.

Yeah its one thing to joke about it when there's fleeting mormon material there. But im a poster in NBA forum called realGM. And a poster there tried to claim recently Jazz only draft white guys, not in slight joking matter like some others.

We had to go down a decade of drafting 1 by 1 to show the idiot they drafted 99% black guys during that time lol (only Filipowski and Grayson Allen). Some can't differentiate memes from reality.

Basically every white guy they've drafted in the last 20 years has either been a Euro flop or Gordon Hayward. The only white draftee between him and Stockton who had any role was Kirilenko.
