I love reading شیزیو's posts in this thread.
I love reading all of your postes @king Ale;

This forum misses your class.

First of all, i don't give prominence to friendly games during Europe tour, even if i think NBA teams should've done much better.

You probably think i'm trying to say Euroleague > NBA. No, i'm not. But your comments make me to think that you suppose Euroleague is just a league of rejects or something. I can give you examples about players who didn't make it in Europe. Let's think.. Brandon Jennings? Draft Pick 10, high school star with a great statistic and his choice was to start his prof. carrer in Italy, Lottomatica Roma. 5 points during local champ game, and 7 pts in international tournament. I can easily call him a reject that plays for Bucks. He's a star at Milwaukee though.

Sonny Weems? He had a lot of offers to sign a contract with NBA clubs. That's how he described his stay: "CSKA is like a NBA team. In NBA they do not play seriously over two months and in Europe every game is very important. I also love basketball with tactics."

Meanwhile Jasikevičius even didn't get a decent chance to show what he can do..

Can't deny that most of them in NBA are amazing athletes with great physical abilities.
I didn't say that the euroleague is a league of rejects, european basketball had mad great progress the last decade, mainly because all the european players have great fundamentals, text book moves, ( Dirk is the prime example, he revolutionezed the NBA, Sabonis too ). No wonder the european give the USA NT team fits when they play either in the OG, or the WC.
All i'm try to say is that the talent level in the NBA is crazy, and the weakest team in the NBA can beat the best team in Europe. You should also know that the NBA teams will always struggle against european teams because the rules in the NBA are different to the FIBA ones, they always struggled against the zone defence wich was considered illegal defence until recently, the 3 point line is far behind in the NBA....

FIBA rules ain't that hard to them as you say. Players that comes from NBA get used to it very quickly. Europe three point line is now closer 6.75cm, while NBA line is 7.25cm, not that far at all. And from the corners a distance is the same, isn't it?

Actually didn't expect there are peoples in this forum who know a shit about basketball.

The zone rule is really to play against for NBA players, even if it's became legal to use it now in the NBA, it's still only used by a handfull of teams for short periods, Zone stop penetration, nba players first weapeon, they attack the basket, either score or go to the foul line. When you play Zone you stop those penetration and teams has to started scoring from the outside.
The Dallas Mavs were able to win the NBA champoinship because they mastered the Zone and surprised Miami with, they stopped Wade and James with it, both not great shooters.
This is why i'm telling you they'll always struggle against good competition from europe because they aren't accustomed to playing against that type of defence.

I did not say anything about Zone. I know by myself it's a very difficult strategy to NBA players to play against.

Oct 25, 2012 1:18 PM EDT

The subject of David Stern's retirement timeline and a succession plan to replace him was discussed at the NBA's board of governors meeting.

Stern will retire on Feb. 1, 2014.

Stern has been commissioner since Feb. 1, 1984.

Deputy commissioner Adam Silver has been picked by the board of governors to replace Stern.

"I told (the owners) that it's been a great run that will continue for another 15 months," said Stern. "The league is in terrific condition."
