BTW how good is Byron Mullens? He's been called to the GB Olympic squad and I haven't followed the NBA closely for 4-5 years.

He's an incredible offensive player, with some good post play and his jumper from 18ft bellow is money, IIRC he was drafted by OKC and got traded this year to the bobcats where he started getting some playing time and had a nice streak of games where he averaged 15+ points.

Although Josh Smith does not put up those numbers consistantly. But 27yr old Josh Smith for 35yr old Garnett is retarded.
He's very inconsistent, he's a tweener, too slow to be a Small forward and can't play the 4 effectively. Even if he's one of the most athletic guys in the NBA, he end up settling for jumpers, it got to do with his atrocious ballhandling skills.

He's getting better at his decision making but yeah he does take way too many js. He should realise that he has to play to his strengths. I just hope he's not playing like this so he can get traded unless it's for someone awesome.

:xfinger: he rapes heat and posterizes legay.

Nice to know. If GB can get Ben Gordon and him on the court it should help Deng a lot offensively. Also, they have a talented young PG called Devon Van Oostrum who is worth keeping an eye out for, he's only 19 but ranked amongst the best internationally in his age group.

Last time they played Heat they had all those guys while Heat didn't have Lebron and Wade and ATL still lost.

Incredible offensive player? Really? C'mon man. Byron Mullens is whatever

And Ben Gordon sucks. Dude fucked Detroit over and now they're stuck with him.

He averages 9 points in 20 min IIRC in the worst team in the NBA, he's extremely skilled offensively.

As for Ben Gordon, he's a good player just stuck in a bad situation in Detroit where they tons of guard. Plus in FIBA he'll be very usefull with his good shooting.

So, you have a 24 year old all star center averaging 17 pts, 13 rbs, and 2 blocks per game, is shooting 56% from the field, and shooting almost 67% from the field in the last 5 games.

What do you do if you are Kobe Bryant? You shoot 9 for 31 in a loss to the Bullets. While Andrew Bynum shoots 6-8 and scores 19 points.

Please just tank this fucking season already and start over again, please. It's bad enough the Montreal Canadiens are the worst NHL team in the Eastern Conference,a nd now this.

:seven:

Kobe still thinks he's playing with Smuch freaking Parker.
What I don't understand is that he has played with Bynum and Gasol for several years now, you would think that there would be a semblance of trust at this point.

It seems that Mike Brown just lets Kobe do whatever the hell he wants out there, and that is not team basketball. What Kobe needs to udnerstand is that he is going to be 34 years old, and even Michael jordan at 34 was not throwing up 31 shots per game. He has a young center who if he stays healthy will be in the top 2 or 3 centers in the game for the next 6 years, and another big man who has been extremely consistent ever since he joined the lakers.

Just blow it all up already and start over with Bynum as the centerpiece of the offense.

Watching Kobe over years, you would know that he still wants to be the best and most importantly recogonised as the best, he took offense the the fact that ESPN ranked him as the 7 best player in the NBA and he's trying to prove that he's still the best altough he doesn't have the lefs anymore.
And like you said Mike Brown isn't helping either. His offensive gameplan consist of " give the ball to Kobe and move out of the way" like in Lebron days in Clevland. The lakers need to get a PG and SF and hope Kobe will came to his sense. The lakers can't afford to blow it up with Kobe still under contract, he has a huge contract and a no trade clause. So better try to win it all with this core.

The problem that the Lakers have, and honestly this is their own damn fault for literally selling away 1st round draft picks for cash, and trading them away when it wasn't necessary to, is that with the exception of Bynum, there are really no tradeable assets that they can package in a deal on their own and get better. Trading gasol would be a lateral move at best, and he is going to be 32 over the summer. His trade value is only going to go down. Bynum should not be traded under any circumstance whatsoever. They have 2 first round picks this year, but I can guarantee you that they will only end up being sold at the draft.

And in Cleveland, at least lebron did a much better job of getting his teammates involved than what kobe is doing right now. there was a stretch this season where Kobe was averagin about 8 assists per game, and the team was playing good basketball, but I'm honestly scratching my head at why he is becoming so selfish again this late in his career
