Doubt it works that way because of the contracts. Just thinking out loud. Maybe a multi team deal or something. CP3 and Bron with youngsters making a run for it and Paul will finally get his chance to play for the Lakers

Yes you are. A declining 34 year old point guard who will be making almost 40 million per year over the next three years? Unless they give up absolutely nothing for him except a 1st round draft pick in 2025, then no.

Who would be left? They would have to trade Kuzma, Ball, Ingram, Hart, and the #4 pick just to make the salaries work, if the Lakers wanted to still keep a max cap space slot open after the trade
