Exactly. We have a hard time getting any televised matches to speak of. Good luck getting footage of training sessions
And you can't exactly visit a training either (which is great stuff btw, if you ever get a chance of doing that, don't pass on it!)

 u just had to use De Ridder, didn't ya ;)

Oh I thought they read our forum and took the concensus :D
No, that's Tuttosport. And they only read the "Transfer Talk" section :howler::D

Hey if i ever get that close to the action, i'd mortgage my house to watch the team get on the bus from 100m away

 We should experiment with that sometime; write outrageous transfer rumours in Transfer Talk and see how long they take to appear on the Tuttosport website :D

Sorry.....one stupid question from someone who had never played football before....

Why all those spittings on pitch during matches? Everytime there is a player close-up he would be spitting. Any physiological explanations for this?

Psychological? Not really. Exertion has some side-effects, one of them being an increased slime production. Swallowing is no good, spitting is the only way.

So actually there is a PHYSIOLOGICAL need doing that.....

    Thanks Erik! :cheesy:

But just the thought of running/falling/sliding on a slimy lawn makes me :yuck:

Oh I thought you meant psychological. But it's a physical thing, yes.

Stupid words, too similar come to think of it :D

You really need to be more careful :)

When you exercise for long periods of time, you get a large amount of mucus build-up, and there's no other way but to spit, unless you drink water. In my indoor competition, you get sent off for spitting on the artificial turf, so you have to wait until you get subbed and take a drink. Sometimes there's so much build-up that you just have to swallow it. It's totally gross

I play tennis but I never get that mucus-buildup problem....

You mean there would be mucus forming inside the mouth? So much the amount you have to swallow it?

    IT IS GROSS!

    I know, sorry.. i can't help it

It's an endless source of entertainment and it seems to make him happy. I guess I could argue that both sides win, but I know i'm just being a prick
