You know since I'm quitting with on Friday I should have some time in my hands to moderate.

No, you are totally right. The mod team has acknowledged that the forums have been creaking under the weight of poor moderation, so expect some positive change on this soon.

There's nothing in them that mentions whether something is a post, a private message, a reputation message, etc. There are mentions of threads, of course, but a rule like "DO NOT Insult other members, Juventus players and staff" makes no such distinction.

Come on, G. When was the last time I stalked a lady here, huh? I promised to uphold the law and not abuse/misuse my powahs.As for Asif, I think he should be relieved of his duties. He's got a house to look after and mouths to feed. His attention is better applied on the real world than here.
I closed it because the thread served its original purpose and it has since become something to serve other purposes -- for which a lot of members have started complaining (rightfully, IMO). That was a judgement about the thread, and less so the people posting in it.
If there are examples, yes, they should be enforced. But digging up the past is not going to help anything. An insult three months ago being enforced now is almost pointless.
I hate to say it, but like the FIGC, there kind of needs to be a sort of statute of limitations.
