After a couple of days grace, I've been giving infractions for insults to Agnelli.

I don't go in the Del Piero thread, though, because I can't be arsed with a lot of what goes on in there.

I've no issue with an alteration in the rules so that anyone loaned to or from Juve or who is co-owned by Juve is covered by forum rules.

As it is, though, I'll continue to only give infractions where it is a player who is actually at Juve that is at issue.
In other words. It's okay to say Fucck Melo, but we can't say FuccK Vidal?

I don't think it's fair, since we didn't play vs Gala this year and they are not in the same league plus, Melo is still our player. I only took example Melo, there are plenty of others like GIo and so on.

Oh, stop being an attention $#@! already.
I don't think he can.

- When someone says he's leaving the forums for good like hundred times and doesn't care about it then only to come here and moan in the Mod thread says it all.
- Jack, we would be making a good tag team. You're the Gianni Agnelli of the Mod team.
- Del Piero is untouchable. You provoke in his thread I hit back.
- Giovinco technically isn't a Juve player.

Thank you very much,

But it would be okay to insult Melo if, for instance, Juve had played Galatasaray in Europe?

I know, but I was querying it as it appeared whether a player was an opponent for Juve was a factor in whether insulting them was okay.

Wow, gone for two days and seems like i missed a failed revolution :D

Anyways, Midgetvinco does not play for Juve and there is nothing wrong in insulting a player that plays against you.

Loaned, co-owned or whatever if they don't play for Juve / against Juve they can fuck off. Especially players who talk shit and throw jibes at us at every opportunity.

I thought "insult a Juve player" thing was only for the non-Juve fans who want to provoke. It gives a good reason to ban them.

I don't think it should be applied at all to the regulars here. If I want to talk crap about a player or to provoke his fanboys, I can do it without swearing. And if the goal of this warning is to prevent heated off topic discussions and arguments, then the rule itself isn't really stopping those because, as I said, one can start an argument and make fun of a player without technically breaking that rule.

You can do it without swearing, but many can't. I cannot tell you how many infractions I've given out in the LIVE thread during matches because members bombed on a player.

And while you can have thick skin about it, the question comes down to what kind of forum do we want to be? One that insults and humiliates our own players (and hence our own club), or one that recognizes that opposing fans will do that for us and we shouldn't add to the fire by acting just as bad as they do?

Then make things even more strict. I know that you can with the help of Red and 3-4 others.
Infractions for the insults, infractions for those who try to find a loophole in that rule and provoke without directly swearing (that can fall under the "Derail threads where there is serious discussion going on" or under "trolling or fighting") and be really strict about it.

You'll hit a problem with the big group of mods and their interpretation of "trolling" (Here Rab could be the problem), you'll have a problem with regulars like myself or JCK who have a habit of provoking and starting heated arguments....but I think you of all people can create a good team of mods and do it. I won't object when I'm warned. Even if I do, you shouldn't give a damn and you should finish what you'll start because in the end you'll have a very nice and tidy forum.

I think it's too hard to consistenly interpret insulting players in any way other than how it is just now (i.e. name-calling or wishing death on them).

There is certainly a case for classing more things in the player threads as 'trolling', though, which is an infraction that is given very rarely just now.

Where does one draw the line between trolling and the stardard Juventuz 'flogging a dead horse' never ending arguments, though?
