I can't believe how our current PM (Mikati) stabbed our former PM Rafik Hariri (RIP) and will apparently ignore and refuse any cooperation with the UN tribunal considering how many times Rafik Hariri has helped him before being assassinated.

What interest does Hizballah hold by targeting Harriri? If anything he was one of if not their biggest alley in Lebanon when he was a PM why do this when he's just another ex in Lebanon? Just curious.

What is there not to believe if the entire government is controlled by Nasralla? Do you think he will be allowed to give the UN their suspects? Hezballa and Syria men?

It's all ridiculous anyway, Nasralla is doing exactly what he does, him and his men are allowed things that others are not allowed.

That's why a lawful court has been convened, to discover why and who.

My guess would be the fact that Hariri wasn't the most willing of puppets, at least, Hezbollah didn't get the utter backing of the state and the free hand that they crave, enemies of democracy that they are.

You really think such a reason, if true, is strong enough for them to commit such an operation on this scale and jeopardize everything on it? No way. Besides, the way Harriri was bombed was too close to that of Haj Rodwan, the Hezballah chief who was killed in Syria two years back. A coincidence?

You legit sound like a Hezbollah spokeman, they'll say the same things as you. IF they are charged there's evidence and we must wait to see what it is. Hezbollah care first and foremost about their fuedalistic military dominance, the Lebanon second.

Hezbollah believe that their 'feudalistic' military dominance best serves Lebanese security interests. Its not just an ego thing.

    Lebanese or Arab/Islamic?

Lasting peace with Israel and a complete detachment from Syria is in the security interests of Lebanon, I wonder if Asad falls will they be so bold.

Well I'm heavily sedated and under slept so I can't engage in a discussion about what best serves Lebanese security interests. I just think that to say that Hezbollah put their military dominance first and Lebanon second isn't accurate. That's to say that military capability is only a priority for the sake of it. Its very simple why Hezbollah regard military strength as a priority. They believe it is the best deterrent of Isreal who historically have had little regard for the sovereignty of its Arab neighbors. To protect Lebanese legitimacy they believe that they must deter Isreal and like HAMAS, they choose to do so through military means.
