No problem. It's really rather simple Rami... you live in Arabia, we in Israel live in the Land of Israel. The borders are quite defined. It's quite offensive that out of nowhere you now decided that the Land of Israel is Arabic too, it's wrong. Jews lived in Saudi Arabia too, but we don't claim that to be Jewish. Everybody has their own. King Faisal at the time agreed completely this is the Land of Israel. Everybody knows this too. The Romans turned the name to Palestina to abolish jewish connection but Jews stayed here and eventually this became Israel again. But to get this on topic Israel is willing to make peace with its neighbours. If it wasn't for Hezbollah/Ahmadinijad/Hamas wanting to kill all Jews and Israelis then there would be peace. It is innocent country like Lebanon which is suffering from this situation.

Here's something even simpler: palestinians should get out of the Land of Israel, aka the Kingdom of Israel, aka the Promised Land and go live to wherever they came from.
I'm sure you don't like how that sounds. Now you know how I feel.
It's because of ppl like u it is impossible to make peace.

I was thinking few days ago about the diff between Saddam and Assad's regime, father and the son.

Though I never really admired nor liked Saddam for his terror brain, still Assad's regime has done triple If not more than what Saddam has done to his people.

Saddam had one the charges was killing 7000 people in "Halabja", of course 7000 is considered more than a crime and terror It's something really make us wonder what world we're living in.

However If you look at the stats, Assad's regime only in 1982 or lets say Syrian gov killed 25.000 to 35.000 people in "Hama" who were against the gov and against Hafez Al-Assad. Not to even mention what this regime has done to other countries or people.

-Using airplanes forces to kill his own people...(I don't think this ever happened anywhere except in Syria)

-Occupying Lebanon and killing thousands of our People

-Syria's regime costed Lebanon much more than what Israel costed us

-Killing their people in "Hama" with gas generators to make sure no one would still be alive.

and so on.....one wonders when will this regime in syria collaps? poor syrian people, I pretty know what and how they're feeling. They're occupied from terror dictatorian kid named bashar. poor them.

thats stupid, palestinians, i dont understand that they were there first but i hate their narrow minded views that car bombs should be used to kill innocent jews. they have been persecuted for years and this is how they get continually treated, its not fair on the innocent ones

@rab, u missed out that saddam used biological weapons on the kurds too in 91.
No doubt, thats another reason inclduing others to put him down. They're all criminals and deserve to be put down. But If you look at the stats, Saddam can't be compared to Hafez nor his son. The two syrians are by far leading in the middle east and Arab zone.

i had syrians friends at school who told me that they were not allowed to make jokes or insult him ( the dad assad) dont know if that has changed yet. some what similar to what saddam had, u make a joke about him and thats the last time u will be laughing. ---------------->u will disappear behind the sun for a long long long time.

i dont know if u get arabic media but there are actually loads of people who love him a big deal in the region. infact some iraqi still love him to them he is a hero and i understand where that comes from u see at least during his era u never heard about car bombings occuring on daily basis but what he did to the kurds or any one who opposed him was just toooooo harsh to forgive. i must agree his end was predicted but not the way it happened.

Of course that is still up for now. I have many syrian friends aswell who were telling some incredible stories about this regime.

Each one thinks just thinks of being against this gov and not obeying their rules will either be shot or immediatly to prison(and god knows what kind of prison is awaiting them).

There are a lot of stories like that. Like a father who used to say "tfoh 3alaik" (its spitting in arabic) whenever Hafiz appeared on TV or in a newspaper. His little son picked it up from him and did it once in public, to his luck one of the Assad's men saw him and asked the kid why did you do that, he said my dad does it whenever he sees Haffiz.

Needless to say what happened to the father....

Don't know the truth of such story, but I won't be surprised....

I don't think thats the reason of Love for Saddam in the region. It goes more along the lines of he is the only Arab leader that had the guts to stand in the face of America, and bomb Israel. There was also Gadhaffi, but that man is just psycho....
